SHARP UA-PN1U-W Tower Air Purifier
I bought this item for my daughter as she has asthma. She said it works very well and she can notice the difference in the air quality in her home.I will also be buying one for myself.

Great but loud!
I like Sharp as a make as a United fan when they sponsored us I used to buy tvs and video recorders from them. This is a great bit of kit but the library quite mode isn’t that. With my other Unit in the bedroom it’s so quite you don’t even know it on but with this sharp unit it’s very evident. It does the job well though so worth the £34 I paid.

Really improved the air quality in my home. Its super quiet on the library mode and when needed can be boosted at 3 levels to clean the air. It was so good in my lounge that I bought another for the bedroom. Top quality construction and easy to clean. The house is less dusty as it removes particles from the air and really helps with odours as I have two dogs.

It does what it says on the box - but still may not make much difference to your home air quality.
This is a very well designed and made piece of equipment. Although all the casing is plastic, it is quite robust. The operating instructions are very thorough and there are several operating modes. The unit needs occasional simple maintenance - the water tray and filters need cleaning every month or so which is only a few minutes work. The unit is not unduly noisy - can be left on all night.So, it certainly humidifies and filters out dust from the air. We know this because the water tank empties and the filters collect dust. We got one because we had a slightly stale or musty smell in our house for which we couldn't locate a source, but this unit didn't make any difference to that after several weeks of use. So, we eventually put it away - and the smell went on its own some time later.It is quite expensive to get one just to try, I would be tempted to put more effort into locating the source of any smell first - but if you know what it is and can't remove it, eg a pet, then this is a good device to try. Make sure you get a model with the right capacity for the volume of room you wish to condition.NB this unit has no heating or cooling function, just optional humidification and dust filtering. It also has an 'ioniser' function - we couldn't detect any difference using that made.

Best purchase ever
My new dorm room smelled weird, but this solved everything in an instant!Very effective and beautiful design for an amazing price. Love how it gently lights up the room with warmth at night. As always, a great brand.
