Most problems are caused by a faulty (worn out) strap .
Problems with your HR strap. Order a new strap, the snap on sensor is likely fine. This fixed the problem I was having with my Bontrager strap.

Universal heart rate monitor straps
I have heart rate monitors from different gyms and these straps work for each heart rate monitor. Having multiple straps is like having more than one pair of socks. You need a clean one every day you go to work out!

Better sizing options than the Polar strap
This strap comes in S M L sizes whereas the Polar strap is only 2 sizes and costs a lot more. I am a small framed person so this strap can be sized to fit me better with remaining adjustability. The attaching Polar module works perfectly on this strap and is just as comfortable. Very pleased and recommend it as a replacement strap for the H9 or H10 monitors.

Works great with my Polar H10
I just got it and I've only used it two days, but so far, so good. I use it with my Polar H10 sensor and it seems to work just fine,

Works well with different brand sensors
This is a basic replacement strap that can work with Garmin, Wahoo, and Polar pucks. While there are minor differences between the puck electrode connections, the strap is flexible enough to accommodate all three, as you can see in the image I attached. The measurements from all three came through fine and stayed accurate throughout a 5 hour ride where the strap was drenched with sweat.Note on sizing: Look at their sizing, it is correct. I got the small for my wife and it fits fully loose. She is usually between S and M for straps. The concern with this strap, and I have seen it in other cheaper straps (including older cheap Garmin ones), is longevity. As you can see the design in simple with two electrode patch and no backing behind the connectors. The problem with that is that over time sweat buildup in the fabric (even if you wash it often) starts to short the electrodes and the reading becomes erratic, or zeroes out. The two small electrode patches can also increase reading errors in cold and dry conditions as signal quality degrades (readings much higher than expected). Both can be mostly avoided by:1. Washing the strap. They don't mention it but other strap manufacturers do:* Rinse after heavy sweat exercise* Wash after 4-5 uses. Hand wash with mild soap or run on delicate cycle (preferable in a washing bag). Don't use softener* If the readings start to be erratic, going to 0 occasionally, soak in warm soapy water for a few minutes and then rinse the strap well* If washing does not help anymore, it is time to replace the strap. For high usage, even Garmin and Wahoo straps need replacement after a year or two. This will probably last a year at moderate usage.2. Wetting the strap. They say to wet with a few drops of water, but especially in cold and dry weather you want to moisten the skin where the contacts will be. Not enough moisture will lead to bad readings
