Works with Linux. Red stapler not included.
Not sure why they didn’t mention Linux compatibility, but this DOES work with Debian 12. Just plugged it in and it shows up as: Fresco Logic FL1100 USB 3.0 Host Controller [1b73:1100].Nothing fancy, I just needed to add some functional USB ports to the rear of an old Dell XPS 8910 to plug in a keyboard and mouse since the built-in ports were dead. The card comes with two mounting brackets, two sets of screws and tiny magnetized screwdriver. So, some assembly required, but everything thoughtfully provided. Not just the minimum 15 pieces of flair.

Works in El Capitan, Windows 10 (no drivers required) Inateck KT4006
UPDATE 3/3/2016As I came home tonight, there was a small package with replacement card from Inateck (Thanks for fast response).I swapped the card and both ports are back on.Thanks for the great customer service; I had almost given up hope on this.Back to 5 stars ... because it just works ...---------------------------------------UPDATE: I do not see any substantial improvements in speeds compared USB 2.0.And to top it all exactly after 32 days one of the ports stopped working ... :-|Amazon won't return, and Inateck hasn't replied to any of my emails. Downgrading review from 5 stars to 0 (well 1) stars.I think I am done upgrading my MacPro. This is ridiculous, with majority of cards not supporting one Mac OS X version or other.I will stick with USB 2.0 and NAS running on GigE.---------------------------------------Finally, something that works on El Capitan.I have MacPro 4,1 (2009 model). This card works in El Capitan, no drivers required. I have boot camped the MacPro 4,1 and it works in Windows 10 also, again no drivers required. You can buy this card, or more importantly look for a USB 3.0 card with "Fresco" chipset (that chipset is supported in Mac OS 10.x, thus far).A little bit of history of how I got here. When I upgraded my MacPro to Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9), I decided to get myself a USB3.0 + eSATA card (to support bunch of drives I have. I checked around and got myself a really expensive CalDigital FASTA-6GU3 from Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005X8NW36). The card worked great in Mavericks and Yosemite (Mac OS X 10.10).As soon as I upgraded to El Capitan, the card won't let me boot to Mac OS. When I contacted CalDigital, they told me it is obsolete and not supported in El Capitan (really? for a card that costs 5x any other card in the market does not have driver support). It worked fine in boot camped Windows 10 though. After looking through many cards and even trying a few, I finally got this card today. And yes it works !In both Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, and Windows 10. Without any drivers installation required. The only downside I would say is that it has only 2 USB 3.0 ports (wish it had four).

Great for adding additional USB3.0 Case ports
This allowed me to reconnect a USB 3.0 case ports after I got another accessory that required a USB 3.0 19-pin connection. My Windows 11 PC was able to quickly recognize it after a refresh and add functionality for more USB ports. It has worked reliably, and feels quite well made, with dual options for case mounting. I was glad to find one that didn't require a SATA power connection to work well!

Great Solution for Adding an Internal USB Header
Great product! Performs exactly as described right out of the box. I ordered this PCIe USB 3.0 card to hook up an additional internal header that my motherboard did not have (only came with one, used for case USB). Not having to run an additional power supply line is a huge bonus. No extra wires or ugly molex connectors to dirty up the case window. My only complaint is that the screw hole on the back plate was off center for the mounting hole on the case. Nothing a little Dremel action couldn't fix, but an overlooked detail nonetheless. Super happy with the function of the card. Windows 10 recognized and installed drivers upon boot. I didn't even have to open the supplied CD. I would definitely recommend this card if you need a clean USB 3.0 solution.

Just Perfect for adding USB3 support to an older system!
I have four systems in my house... two are "modern" while my two older systems... well... one has only USB3 in the back, no front connectors, and the other... it has no USB3 at all, front or back. Both had tiny MATX MBs with nothing more than a PCI-E 3.0 slot for a GPU and one tiny PCI-E expansion slot I figured I'd never have a use for.I had put my older systems in newer cases that had front USB3 support, but the cords were just tucked away since neither motherboard supported front USB3... I decided to see if there was some way of adding Front USB3 support to my older systems when I noticed you could get a PCI-E card to do it... but all of them required an extra power cord, and I was really trying to keep my systems with good cable management and didn't want extra power cords floating around, when I came across this card from Inateck. All I can say is... WOW... performs exactly as advertised... it truly is plug-and-play... *both these older systems run Win7, and all I had to do was plug the cards into the PCI-E slot, plug-in the front USB3 cord from the case... fire up the system, insert the included driver disc and in seconds the drivers were installed and everything worked. (*I since upgraded one of the systems to Win10 and can confirm this card works in Win10 as well without any issues at all).I have a USB thumbdrive that gets "uppity" when I plug it into a USB2 port and it always likes to say "i'd be faster in a USB3 port"... I put my thumbdrive in all ports, front and back, and it was very happy with the USB3 support. Nice to have truth in advertising... this is truly a plug-and-play card that installs quick and easy in the oldest of systems, works with older OS's like Win7 and doesn't require any additional power inputs. I bought two for my systems and am very happy to breath new life into some older PCs.
