Irrigation Fittings for 1/2 inch Tubing (1/2" ID x 0.65" OD) to 1/4 inch Irrigation Tubing, Anti-Drop Locked Barbed Reducing Tee for Drip Hose - Pack of 10

This review is for the 1/2" elbows and T joints. The fitment of standard 1/2" drip lines bought at Lowe's was perfect, and provided a solid/dripless connection. I've read a number of customer reviews stating that these joints didn't fit correctly. My personal experience with these products was just the opposite. They fit perfectly👍I suspect that the folks writing those negative reviews may not have realized that you do have to apply some pressure to push the line over the flexible barbs to achieve proper fitment. As long as you cut the drip line straight, and push it into position; you will be able to quickly and easily achieve a solid/dripless connection. Hope this helps clarify any questions or concerns. ...but the 1/4 " barbed fitting is a little too big for Rainbird tubing. I needed to use a heat gun to soften the tube.

I've had issues with non rain bird fittings so it surprises me to find myself writing that these are far better than rai bird. Fit in to rain bird 1/2 inch distribution hose with no fuss. The screw on caps are nice but not needed. The barbs would hold without. Massive upgrade!

Needed to repair/expand an existing system. The store where I purchased does not carry anymore. Glad I found them here.

The write up says 1/2” tubing. It does NOT fit. If you live where we measure in inches Do Not buy this. THE TUBING IS TOO BIG. They try to show measuring with calipers Iower down but still list 1/2 “ below that. ( I happen to have calipers but many folks likely don’t). I tried gently reaming the nut. Made it leak. WARNING. CAREFUL IF YOU NEED AN ADAPTER TO 1/4” WITH ONE PORT. Orbit has a 2 point adapter, not a 1 point. Probably some bean counter there felt it was cheaper to include a plug instead of having two products. Wouldn’t have needed either if the Orbit hole maker actually punched holes and their plug adapters didn’t leak. Mine is an overhead application so leaks were not preferred.

These fit the Rainbird green stripe irrigation tubing (funny pipe) perfectly. No tools needed, other than cutters to cut the pipe. The fittings hand-tighten easily and they withstand the 25 PSI managed water pressure of my irrigation system. A word of caution, when attaching the 1/4" drip tubing to the fitting nipples, soften the 1/4" tubing with a lighter or match because they can break if too much pressure is applied that is not perpendicular to the plane. (that is straight down onto the nipple) I snapped one off, requiring some JB weld to plug the hole from the now missing nipple. Eh, no worries, as I am the one who manhandled the thing and was too lazy to walk back to get the lighter I normally carry when working with irrigation tubing. These are a great bargain and I am ordering more when I expand my garden for Autumn planting.
