Great bra! But not for sports, at least not for me.
I'm a 40G. I was looking to get more active, and I wanted to get a bra that would separate, control bounce, and look decent if it peeked through the top edges of the new black shelf-bra, sweat-wicking, activewear tank tops I recently bought to run around in. As an experiment, I tried my new tanks on over my regular bras and could clearly see the lace peek out through the armpit. Of course I also needed a bra that would seriously control bounce, as the shelf-bras in my new tanks - even in conjunction with my regular bras - weren't going to do the trick. Also, I've tried several uniboob-inducing wireless compression bras that STILL don't seem to control the bounce. It's also near impossible to find them in my size.During my search, I found this bra - great reviews, has underwire for separation, comes in black, is SPECIFICALLY meant to be a sports/active bra, and... (drumroll please) actually comes IN MY SIZE! W00t!Well... hate to say it, but it doesn't control bounce on me AT ALL. Plenty of jiggle and a lot of (not always) sexy cleavage. It's probably just the curse of my size. On that note, it fits great! And it's still super supportive. The funny thing is, this bra has one less hook and a smaller band than my two regular balconette-style bras (3 hooks on this, 4 on my regular bras). The straps are the same width and style as my regular bras, and the cups 'stick out' more - my regular balconette bras having more of a round shape and this bra having something between a round and cone shape. Thankfully it's still very flattering and MUCH closer to 'round' than 'cone', but it's so funny to me that my girly-ass lacy balconette-style everyday bras have slightly more material and compression of the breasts than this supposed sports bra!Even with the cons, this bra totally works out for me in other ways. I have this other camisole-style lace-strap tank top that I love but never wear because my usual bra peeks out on the sides, looking very tacky. With this bra having slightly less material than my other two, it hides under that top perfectly! Also, being new, it holds me up a little better than my other two older ones. A good bra to add to the usual rotation.So... 4 stars for being a great everyday t-shirt bra, and doing well enough for others as a sports bra, even if not for me.It's a few paychecks later, and I've placed an order for a different type of sports bra. I've researched this one a little more and hopefully, it will work as described. We shall see. I live in hope. :-)

Different Kind of Straps!
Please be aware that this bra has a totally unique type of straps such as I have never seen. When i first got it i was shocked because i didn't see any way of adjusting the straps and was going to return it because of this. But as i looked closer i saw that this bra is unlike any other out there--the strap adjustment method is not something i can find the words to describe but it is there if you look along the straps...it's just not the same as any other bra out there. At first i really bawked at this, but after re-reading some reviews i decided to try it out for a day at the gym. I found it to be quite comfortable. It stayed in place, not too tight, not too loose. My biggest complaint with sports bras today is that with most of them it is like wearing a vest! I want solid support but i dont want to feel like i am wearing a vest (OR a saddle for heaven's sake). So many sports bras make a person feel overdressed... too hot & uncomfortable because of this. And at the end of a workout i did not feel gross and wet in it like i do in my Moving Comfort bras. No, i did not run in it, my workout consists of non-impact aerobics such as Elliptical machine or Arc-trainer, so i cannot advise runners on issue of impact. I work up quite a sweat though and require a towel. With my Moving Comfort bras i can't wait to get out of them afterwards, they don't absorb any sweat and i feel slimy and gross underneath. But with this i felt like i could go from the gym to public and delay my shower. Also did not have any problem with bounce on Elliptical or Arc machines. Takes a while to reconcile myself to this totally different strap adjustment system though (if you feel the need to adjust it WHILE wearing it, you will be forced to remove it to do so; this is NOT the usual "slide" adjustment system of most bras where you can just reach way back on your shoulder and slide the plastic piece with your fingers, if you know what i mean); you have to take it off and move the hook to the next loop. However, because of this, there is also less likelihood that you will even need to adjust the straps because there is nothing that is going to slide looser bit by bit over time. And if the ends of the straps cause any irritation (which they so far have not for me) i will just cut off the ends. Sorry, it's rather hard to describe this. But i intend to at some point order another one.

Returned first purchase because too big. Return policy allows ability to determine fit.
