How did I manage for so long without a drum ?!Once a week a good friend & I go out into the countryside & drum for nature - sometimes this includes dancing too, which the squirrels really appreciate - I think.

I've bought a few of these in different sizes and I'm impressed by the sound quality for the price. I chose these as the larger versions have a little cut out to make holding them easier (I have small hands and find the smaller and medium sizes easy to hold but the larger ones are easier to play with it sat on your knee). These are genuine Remo products and mostly arrived in original Remo labelled boxes with a leaflet about other Remo products. They were well packaged and no damage. Great product if you need drums that won't go 'floppy' due to humidity or playing outdoors!

Really pleased with this little frame drum. It's small enough to carry around in a regular rucksack or large handbag so I can practice anywhere, and it makes a pleasing sound for the size.There are a couple of things that could be a little better - the thumb notch could be deeper so that my supporting hand could be closer to the drumhead, and also the silver staples at the top of the surround don't look great, but for the price, this is a nice little drum.

I should have read the description of these things better, it's just a sheet of cheap plastic glued onto a cheap flimsy frame, at best it's a toy, sadly it's going to be a toxic problem for nature as it breaks down in years to come, very disappointed.

Unlike many similar drums that have a dull thud and go slack quickly, this has a beautiful resonant tone and its head stays taut. It doesn't wear out quickly like other drums. Good value.
