There may be better one out there. My grandkids could not wait for this present. The first one arrived with only two ants still alive. We did receive replacement ants but there were still many dead ones and still no queen ant as advertised.

The design is fun and the transparency makes it easy to view the ants. However, the designers may have not been aware of how ants operate. If you aren't careful, you can overwater and cause condensation on the clear inside.

My son is a bit of a ant-a-holic, and thought this would be a good home for a colony of ants. This thing absorbs moisture and would kill any colony placed in it. Unless you live in a very dry place, I couldn't recommend.

Upon opening box black mold was growing in and on this item. Smelled strongly of mold. Will not be good as the product was intended to house ants.

It didn’t work for my son because a mold grew in it and killed the ants.

Came broken as far as the clay material used and had huge amounts of condensate on the nest area! Returned immediately!!!!
