2014 Pathfinder SL rear
Easy install. Perfect fit. Time will tell how long they will last on Pathfinder. I also resurfaced rotors at O'Reilly. So, for me overall brake job took some time. But if someone want to just drop in new pads, it should not take more then 10 minutes after removing the wheels. Jacking up the car and removing the wheels will take majority of the time in case of just replacing the pads. Oh, and this particular set of pads didn't have any hardware. I reused original hardware that was already installed. Not an issue for me. If someone needs new hardware, look for set that end with A after the number.I used AKEBONO PRO-ACT on Honda Odyssey both axle and really liked them. No stopping issues, or dust issues. There is some dust, but not as much or as visible as OEM pads. So, for Pathfinder decided to go with PRO-ACT. Not sure how long they will last on Pathfinder, since the same pads are on Altima, and Pathfinder is around 1,000lb heavier. Not expecting 60-90K miles like on Honda. On my MB I use AKEBONO EURO. No issues either.

Good and quiet break pads
I got these for my wife's QX70, the rear brakes were at 3mm, constantly squeaked (not caused by the wear indicators), and created a lot of dust. These pads do come with a small packet of what appears to be copper paste which I was not expecting but happy to get. Installation was easy, I had no fit issues and there is a noticeable difference in the feel between these brakes and the previous ones I had in my car. The squeaking is gone and I don't see any extra brake dust on the rims. Overall happy with my purchase and will look for Akebono when replacing my fronts later this year.Just a note, I had to return the first set of pads I got from Amazon, the copper paste packet had leaked all over the box and the pads were actually out of the box. This was a shipping issue though, not only was the box of pads in a lightly padded envelope I saw the delivery guy toss the packet to my door, so who knows what else happened to it on its way to my house. The second set came without issues, although it was also sent in a lightly padded envelope.

Quiet pads - recommended as improvement over original pads
Replaced rear pads on 2008 Nissan Rogue with these pads. The original pads on the passenger side were making metal squeaking noises when I was slowing down--got annoying. I had more than 50% left of the original OEM pad so it felt like a waste to replace. I took an hour and clean the originals using some brake glue on the shims. That held for about 1-2 weeks. After it rained I was back to squeaking rear brakes. I installed these (both pair) on the rear--did not turn rotors--and there have been no squeaking noise since. The box does come with some lube or grease it asked you to apply to the point of contacts so there is no need to purchase any brake glue or Loctite brake quite stick. On the ACT905 pads I had there was no film on the product though the install instructions mentioned a film on some versions of the pads. These were not boxed very well for shipping but it didn't matter too much--they are brake pads afterall. We also use the same Akebono ACT pads on the front of our Pathfinder and those have been very quite as well. I tossed out the original pads and shims. These do not need any additional shims and my original HW to hold the pads in place was still good so I cleaned them up but didn't replace anything.

Very Good Aftermarket Pads
I purchased these to replace the OEM pads on a 2007 Nissan Maxima SL. The pads shipped with shims attached, so I did not re-use the shims on the OEM pads. The Akebono pads look and feel well-made and fit perfectly. I also replaced the hardware along with each pad and made sure to grease the back of the pads with molykote grease. After installing, I went through a brief burnishing routine and then went out for a normal test-drive. The Akebono pads perform very well and are a noticeable step forward from the OEM pads (which were OK to being with). The Akebono pads have a nice "bite" while also being very smooth throughout the braking effort. For me at least, they had a noticeable improvement over the OEMs at the end just while coming to a stop. The braking distance is noticeably shorter as well. After a week, I cannot really point out any big shortcomings with this product. There may be a better product out there, but for my slightly spirited daily driving, these will do very nicely!

Better than nissan oem pads
Installed this on my maxima and this is the third set of akebono pads i've bought (for 3 different cars). So far it didn't fail any of my expectations. Bites better than oem, no noise, consistent braking feel and virtually no dust! This also needs no bedding procedure though it's been my habit to always bed the pads. There's actually no significant difference before and after.I said it bites better than oem because it's consistent. Say on the scale of 1 thru 10, 10 being the highest. Oem maxima pads braking plays between 6 - 8 (you can actually feel the bite changes). But for akebono, it's always 7. That gives any driver better braking assurance and calculate braking distance. The only reason i'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fit of this particular akebono pads only on maxima (rear). Unlike oem, this pads swept area on the rotor is pushed a bit inwards so there's about 2mm towards the outer edge of the rotor that's not being swept. Hence rust will get into that outer edge. It's a cosmetic issue only, i bet for some folks that wouldn't matter.

Buy these MADE IN JAPAN brakes over the cheap ones from your local auto parts store
These are made in Japan and they actually OEM to some of the manufacturers.I bought some brakes from the boys who claim to be "pep" and they were extremely noisy. I swapped them out with these and it made an immediate difference.Yes, Manny, Moe, and Jack will give you a lifetime warranty on the brake pads, but that's because they contain so much metallic compound that your brake roters will wear out first. Sorry, not worth it.Get these pads because they will definitely be quieter and much better performing.
