The instructions are ok, but you should know what you are doing - wiring isn't something you want to get wrong. The connector is well made, and our 20A circuit breaker is happy with it.

Very good product, easy to replace old unit. Works just fine. Great for the price !

High quality build BUT: accepts 12 AWG and does NOT accept 10 AWG! Which is nuts since 10 AWG is far better to keep voltage acceptably high at current approaching 20A on a 75 or 100 foot cable. Why would you make a heavy duty product that cannot accept heavy duty wire? Voltage drop is never a plus. I had to trim wire off the 10AWg copper I had... less than idea.

I had several 15 amp plugs catch on fire and melt when combined with a 10 AWG cord and 20 amp breaker with only my portable air conditioner attached (rated for a standard outlet). I bought this plug and it doesn't even get hot. It feels more solid than the prior ones I was using. I wish I had bought it a long time ago.
