I bought this to go over a one piece and have the option of covering up a bit more and wearing in and out of the water. I think it will work well for this purpose. I am a pear shape, and it does show a lot of leg on the side due to my form and the way it is cut. Keep that in mind if you are curvy and are looking for something full coverage. It also is not really what I would call knee-length, but is rather a bit shorter. True to description, though it is not see-through. I found that it seemed secure when tied, though I haven't worn it to a beach or pool yet. It is similar to swimsuit material, but a little thicker and stiffer.

Did not work well for me, figure you need to be a US size 8-10 or less in order for this to really cover as depicted on the picture - not for those of us with real hips and a bit of a mommy tummy.

Nice material but not big enough. I’m a size 6 pants and this is the gap on it when it’s tied snug at my waist. (It’s not originally a sideways photo, turned that way in the review.) I’m returning it.

This stays tied and is made out of “swimsuit material” so it’s fine to wear in the water. I like that this looks like a coordinating accessory to my swimsuit even thought they are from different companies. It’s also good for petite people like myself who don’t want a long sarong dragging the ground.
