I used the Madison Reed Color Reviving Gloss in Espresso, and it completely refreshed my faded dark brown hair. It added the perfect depth and richness without making my hair too dark or flat. I am trying to grow my natural hair color out and not damage with bleach any more, but the transition phase makes it so tempting to bleach my hair again. This gloss is a lifesaver for me, I’ve used it several times now and does wonders at removing the brass in my blonde. As you can see in my after photo, the bright front pieces can almost turn even a little bit gray/purple if you’re not careful, but I kind of like it and I purposely leave it on for the max amount of time. My only critique is that I do feel like it only lasts a few washes, of course it’s a gloss so it’s going to fade, but I do wish it would last just a little bit longer for the price it is. A few uses later I have noticed is that I can go almost 5 days after applying the gloss before doing my first wash, even though I usually wash every other day, so I really try to extend my first washout as long as I can if possible to feel like I’m getting my moneys worth. But it just revives my hair so well that I don’t even need to wash it for quite a few days and still looks clean!

I followed the directions written on the box exactly. I left it on my hair less than 20 minutes then washed & conditioned my hair as per instructions. It turned my hair a light but noticeable shade of lavender. I have gray/silver hair. I then washed my hair twice with clarifying shampoo. It helped somewhat but my hair is still faintly lavender. I'm sure my color will gradually get back to normal. Needless to say, I will not use this on my hair again.

This is an update to my previous post.The following day when I looked at my hair under the bathroom vanity mirror I noticed a dramatic difference in the color and shine of my hair. I had medium brown color hair before I used the Madison Reed CANNELLA (copper gold tone) color reviving gloss on my hair. It left my hair much more shiny and I got these beautiful warm copper highlights. I don’t how much it conditioned my hair because I also used the Madison Reed conditioner afterwards. I love the scent of the conditioner, and I was always an AVEDA fan. Still am. The scents are not the same but they are both amazing. To summarize,It worked beautifully for me.

Messy but love the color

Love it! I have tried a couple of glazes and this is by far my favorite!

I have medium length, fine hair, just past my collarbones. There is no way that this bottle would cover 2 uses as is stated on the box. For $30, I would have rather put that towards my next hair appt if I would've known before purchasing. The product definitely makes my red hair look more red, but it didn't have an even effect over the whole area. Some areas are bright red while some are still dull, despite using almost the whole bottle and following application instructions. My recommendation, unless you have a pixie cut, would be to save the money and use it to go have your hair done.
