I’d like to use this stuff in my green drinks. It actually works as a complimentary sweetener along with some thing like Stevia or other non-sugar sweeteners. It’s a much better value than the capsules, although capsules are a great convenience. I have been using DLPA for years to help minimize emotional and physical pain and I truly believe that it works.

There's something very, very wrong with this stuff. I've been taking DLPA for years - it's supposed to be a pure white, odorless, floury powder. This stuff is sandy, clumpy, beige/tan, and absolutely reeks. There are little dark things in it. I tried some before really taking a look at the powder, and it literally made me sick. Nausea, shortness of breath, and a week of gastritis.Normally I trust Pure Originals, but this offering of theirs has put a big dent in that. It's definitely contaminated somehow, if it's even DLPA - bacteria, mold, I don't know. And since other people here have reported similiar things, it isn't new either. Them still sending this batch out is irresponsible to the extreme. Shame, PO.

This Phenylalanine powder gives me a nice bright boost in mood, focus, motivation and energy. I've tried it at different times to gauge what works best for me. I could be having that afternoon slump and then I take some of this and literally within a few minutes my mood and motivation suddenly open up and I hop up and get to work. There were no instructions with this on how much to take, but I reached out to the company and 1/4 teaspoon equals 375 mg. You take 1/4 teaspoon 2-3 times a day or as needed. It's best to take this during the day. I wouldn't recommend taking this in the evening as it's a bit of a stimulant. I took it too late on one day and I couldn't fall asleep. I've found that just 1/8 of a teaspoon packs a great punch, so you don't really need that much. And also taking this on an emptier stomach seems to be most effective, either before a meal or an hour or two after a meal.When I bought this there was only one review so I was taking a big gamble and I'm so glad that I did because this is the most effective Phenylalanine powder I've ever had in my life. I've tried many different brands, including the one by bulk supplements which had a great deal more reviews, but did absolutely nothing for me. This just goes to show that you can't base a purchase on how many reviews there are. This is the only Phenylalanine powder I'm going to stick with moving forward.

This has helped immensely, I would recommend it, and it didn't taste like flea powder to me.

Put a tsp. in my tea every morning. Slightly sweet and helps my mood. Can’t / don’t start my day without it.

Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Other products have almost no detectable taste at all. This product has a sort of "ripe" smell (for lack of a better term) & needs to be washed down pretty quick to get the taste out of your mouth.It works as well as other DLPA products I've tried. If you are looking for one you can just ingest straight out of the bag, I would not choose this one. If you are making capsules, this product is a bit cheaper & you won't notice the taste anyway.

I've taken DLPA in a capsule for a few years and wanted to try it without the fillers that come in pill form. I've been using this a couple of months and it has not had any effect on me. It may help others but for me it has done nothing. The taste in my coffee is kind of nice and is the only reason I keep using it at this point.
