Good quality …NOT VESA CERTIFIED
Maxonar makes some decently built cables that do seem to run well for basic tasks .They have with a loooong list of features and are very attractive price point well below what name brand companies charge for cables with similar features 🚩That said I have checked VESA (.org) and HDMI (.org) as of 5/22/25 and Maxonar is not a listed manufacturer of certified products for either VESA or HDMI .So flat out the claim of certifications is inaccurate . - that does not mean they don’t work well… for basic stuff. So , the cables seem to run well and are decently made . For basic office , classroom , web surfer, even a casual young gamer they would be decent.I bought a display port 2.1 which SHOULD transfer data signal at 80 gbps it’s actually transferring data at 5.7 gbps .This is more like DP or DP 1.2 …. Most certainly NOT the fancy new DP2.3.Interestingly I noticed in their listed specs it is listed as able to handle “ HDR signal “…it doesn’t say HDR 10 or HDR 10+ and I can confirm it does not PROPERLY transfer a 10 bit HDR 10 /10+ signal.HDR can be enabled if you have the hardware but this cable is not doing it any justice if you have real HDR . I’m sure it would be just fine for those budge “fakeHDR” monitors that mostly have firmware that utilizes “shadow balancing “ on 8 bit ( or 6bit + FRC😬) signals .Also while it only handles 5.7 gbps that is enough to achieve high frame rates (180+) but you will see color banding and are more prone to unstable frame rates and tearing . It certainly looks like a compressed signal because the data is moving so slow @5.7gbpsIt does identify as DP1.4 on my setup with is what I use and besides the claim of 80gbps not holding water and not being able to properly handle an HDR signal it seems to put along just fine .VESA ORG recently did some cracking down on manufactures that were insinuating or even fault out falsely claiming to have certifications for DP 2.3 .I’ve noticed that MAXONAR has been heavily discounting their cables . Perhaps a last chance to sell product before it has to be pulled???( I put 5 stars so more people would see/read this)

Quality cable with the small connection
The cable feels and looks really high quality. The reason I went with this cable was I wanted a dp cable with the smallest possible connector because of limited space to plug it in for my application. When I got it I was happy because the connector was about half the length of my old one and made connecting it much easier. If you are looking for something like that then this cable is the one you need. The packaging reflects a high quality product. It works like it should. The VESA certification is actually important to insure there is no issue or damage to pc components or the monitor. Sometimes cheaper cable will have a link between both sides of the cable that shouldn’t be connected potentially damaging the display or components. I recently bought a second cable from this same brand because I was impressed with this one. Some people think a cable is a cable but that is not entirely true. If you are looking for good quality at a decent price I would recommend this cable.

Excellent
This VESA Certified DisplayPort Cable 1.4 from Maxonar is an incredibly versatile and reliable cable. It has a length of 10ft/ 3M, making it long enough to connect multiple devices without having to buy additional cables. The data transfer rate of 8K makes it perfect for high-quality video streaming or gaming and you can be sure that there won't be any signal loss due to the durable construction of the cable. I love that this cable is backwards compatible with previous DisplayPort versions so that you can use it on older devices as well. The plug-and-play feature makes setting up super easy and the anti-interference shield ensures a strong connection even when surrounded by other electronic equipment. In conclusion, this Maxonar 8K 10ft/ 3M DP Cable Cord is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable and versatile display port cable.
