Easy to use, does what it says
I just received my Vevor Ice machine today.Nice looking modern stainless style - it's pretty big but it fits under my cabinets on the counter. What kind of Ice is it:little cylinders that are about 3/4" long by 1/2" wide - so they are small, like a fast food restaurant type ice.Followed the instruction to clean before first use and wiped it all down inside and out.I ran it through 1 clean cycle (I used 2 quarts of water with white distilled vinegar added ) then a second clean cycle with just plain water. (it takes about 8 minutes to run 1 cleaning cycle) The cleaning cycle is basically just running the pump to cycle water through the system without the chiller running. You just fill up the reservoir with a couple of quarts of water and turn it on.Details:from a cold start:It takes about 5 minutes to cool the system down. It runs a bit louder during this phase but still pretty quiet. This is using cold tap water in a 70 degree kitchen. After the 5 minutes of startup and cool down the noise drops by about half and is just a little hum from the pumps. totally acceptable and quiet actually compared to some I have had.About 11-12 minutes in, it dropped it's first ice nugget. At 30 minutes I had about 8 oz or 1 1/2 cups of little ice nuggets. At 60 minutes from the cold start, I had about 1lb or 3 1/2 cups of ice (specifically I had 17 3/4 oz of Ice)I decided to empty the catch tray at this point into the freezer, it still barely covers the bottom of the pretty large catch basket. The next 72 minutes produced another 1lb and 7 oz of ice nuggets or about 3 1/2 to 4 cups. This puts it right at it's stated rate of production of 37 lbs in 24 hours or 1.5 lbs per hour.I put a little more than 2 quarts into the water hopper to get started and it took about 2 1/2 hours before it stopped and needed a refill, that left about 1-2 inches of water in the hopper. This produces a soft ice - or a wet ice - easily pop one in and crunch it up like candy. It does not hold the ice. you have to move it to a freezer.I suggest if you dump it in a container in the freezer you shake the excess water off well before popping it in the freezer or there will be clumps that freeze together. As it is a wet Ice it will also freeze the pieces together if it's in a hard freeze temp. I let them start to freeze and after a bit I give the bucket a good shake to try to try keep them broken up.Overall I like the thing. It's so simple to use. Actually does exactly what it says.

Worked for a few months then broke.. Twice.
Stay away from this product. Initially the product worked great. Made ice fast and made the advertised nugget ice. It is also a very nice looking ice maker. The machine is VERY loud when defrosting. It eventually stopped working altogether. The full water icon shows with full water. I followed troubleshooting directions and couldn’t get it to work.I contacted the seller and they were nice enough to send me a new product. The new ice machine again worked great.. for about two months then had the same exact error as the first.I really wanted this product to work but either I got two defective products or they are just selling junk. Don’t spend the money to find out.

Great Producte
I bought this ice maker for my husband for Father's Day. It works great. CONS: It takes a long time to make ice as opposed to the bullet style makers. PROS: Not TOO noisy, but you do hear it. This said, we have it in our dining area because it is too tall for our early 2000 cabinet height. Our living room and dining area has no separation. The machine is about 15 feet from the TV. Makes a good amount of ice. Doesn't melt immediately if you leave the catch in the machine for a hour or so. All and all happy with it just not the time it takes to make the ice.

works great, but one thing happened
I've had it 6 months. it stopped making ice and started making this terribly loud squeal. I reached out to manufacturer support, they responded with a request for a video of the problem. I reached out to the seller, they responded with"Dear customerSorry for the inconvenience causedIf the machine is used continuously for a long time, the freezing cylinder will fail, resulting in increased noise during operation.Press and hold the cleaning button to exit the cleaning mode, then turn off the machine, wait for the freeze inside the machine to completely melt, and let it sit for 1-2 hours before restarting. The device cannot be used continuously without stopping. It is recommended to stop and clean it every 4 hours of operation.Any questions, please feel free to ask meHave a great dayAnneCustomer Support"I keep it clean, so I unplugged it overnight. Plugged back in, ran a cleaning cycle, then turned it on. It started dropping ice in under 20 minutes and after 2 days the problem has not returned (but also the outside temperature is not as cold as it was before the failure, I use the waterline fill option)This is a great ice maker, I am glad I have it. I was going to buy another one if Anne's suggestion didn't work

I LOVE this thing!
I'm anemic LOL so I chew ice constantly and because of that I've done some damage to my teeth over time however it has not stopped me from constantly having the urge to chew on ice. It's basically the only way I stay hydrated these days so I decided if I'm going to continue to do this I better get an ice maker that can produce softer eyes for me and this one does. I've had it running non-stop since I got it and it keeps me in ice so it produces ice very quickly and it can be hooked into a water line so you don't have to constantly fill it up like I do which really hasn't been an issue for me aside from having to keep myself in bottled water. It takes no installation this way I just set it on the table and plugged it in and it immediately started producing ice. It's a little bit noisy but I don't mind it it's like a white noise and it's not that loud. So far it's been very reliable and I'm very happy with my purchase.
