JANSPORTBig Student Large Backpack, 15 inch laptop compartment

This backpack is huge! It is almost as big as the 12 year old who I bought it for. It fits the pre-teen boy aesthetic of ‘just black, mum, I’m not 4!’ very well, and is remarkably adept at being clean. It has a multitude of pockets, compartments, clips, and other places to hide things. The laptop section is more than adequate for the Chromebook it has to carry. The main compartment has enough space for PE kit, trainers, water bottle, emergency snack, and emotional support hoodie. It’s solidly built, Northern-rainproof, and has yet to falter or fail in its duty as the holder of All The Things. It is, as I said, a little large for the child it was bought for, but the padded straps mean there have been no problems for him carrying it, and as it appears to be utterly school-proof I suspect it will see him through school, college, and probably beyond.

This Jansport backpack is very compact and looks simple, however it still gives a sleek and ergonomic design. It contains a lot of small compartments in the front with 3 main ones including a laptop/folder compartment to put your stuff and it does not feel bulky or look big or heavy despite with many items.The quality is very high, even though the overall bag is not that thick of a fabric the front compartments and zippers feel nice and smooth. The straps are also super thick and cushiony which feels very comfortable in long uses. In addition, the flaps on each zipper hides the zipper making it look more clean and which also minimises people being able to open your bag.

I love the quality of this bag. It is serving me well over the years. I also like the padded laptop compartment and the small MP3 player compartment at the top of the bag.

Excellent quality and plenty of room

The handle broke on the first one, it was full of school books, so it might have been overloaded. Returned it easily, and the new one has been perfect for the last 6 months Much easier to return through Amazon that going direct with Jansport.

Travelled alot with this bag and it stored a document folder and laptop case in the back part.Then lots of books and travel accessories. A camera case and powerbanks.The bag easily weighted 10kilos and the shoulder pads and grab hook is still good after months of use.So many compartments it's really useful.

Great quality item which, after lots of usage, still looks like new.

Size and materials seemed great, it looked sturdy at first however after only 2 school terms the mesh pocket/bottle holder has torn. Bottle has no sharp edges that could have caused this kind of damage so the mesh material is at fault here. Bag has to be replaced. Very disappointing considering the price range.Update: Beware, the manufacturer guarantee is misleading - it doesn't cover the bottle holder (!) and even with damage that is indeed covered under the 30 yrs warranty, the customer is required to ship the bag to Poland at own expenses!
