The Purge: 5-Movie Collection [DVD]

This movie series could literally be used as the foundation for a new college course, because it explores one of the greatest questions in life... "HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO SURVIVE?" Reaallyyy deep & interesting stuff there. If "The Purge" were a real annual event, would you PARTICIPATE??? A lot of people would say... "OMG NO!! I'd NEVER just walk around deleting people!!" 😇But... if laws were rescinded for a night, what about that guy/woman who owed you $200 and told you to F*** OFF when you asked for it back... would you go find them to "COLLECT"? 🤔 What about that hottie who lives across town, flipped you off and wouldn't give you the time of day?? 😠 What about the "Noisy Neighbors" who keep you up every night when you have to work in the morning? 😡Without laws... WHAT YOU YOU DO AND HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO?? 😳 This series explores ALL OF THAT and more - in GRUESOME DETAIL, but without being EXCESSIVELY sick & gory - which is a TURN OFF for me. Personally, I can't even watch stuff that goes TOO dark & heavy, so this is not that.With that said I don't think Children should watch it because it DOES touch on some heavy concepts & visuals, but from teenager to adult - it's the perfect Saturday night pizza thriller. 🍕😧📺But there is something else to consider here.... What about the VERY REAL fact that there are MANY societies in the world today that are very close to what is shown in this series, and there are whispers & conspiracy-talk that USA is heading in that same direction. Just watch the NEWS and ask yourself - are things getting BETTER... or WORSE??? If it's getting BETTER - COOL... WE'RE GOOD!! 🤗But if it's getting WORSE, then will these movies be our REALITY in another 40-50yrs?? We can't even discuss most of what we see on the NEWS today without getting kicked off the platforms because most of it is too hardcore. So I think this is a good series to watch JUST TO SEE what COULD be coming in the future. 🫣 .. PS - Watch "The First Purge" FIRST, then watch the others in order.
