Belt Attachment Not As Securely Secured
This is a belt I just purchased, because I wanted a belt to go with a vintage style picnic dress I recently bought on Amazon, and quite frankly, that dress was just screaming for a red belt to be paired with it. At the top of it's lungs. So one of the things I have noticed about this belt, which does fit me the way I expected (and the closure does work easily), is that there is only one line of straight stitching in red thread holding the belt attachment onto the belt. The black stitching shown in the picture is to keep the ends of the elastic fabric of the belt from fraying, it is not part of the attachment stitching. A single line of straight stitching is not a very secure attachment for an elastic product that could be stretched a bit, and because that puts a lot of pressure on the single line of stitching (the force would have been better distributed over several rows of stitching for example, which would have been more secure) the fabric is already showing signs of pulling and strain when I do even mild stretching of the elastic. So this is one that I will probably add some reinforcement to.For me, this isn't going to be the biggest of deals, because I'm only wearing this thing with one dress, which I'll probably only wear every 5-6 weeks or so. So it's not going to see heavy use, but if you're planning on wearing this more often, it's something to consider. And I'd also recommend that you have a very honest conversation between yourself and a measuring tape before you order this so that you order the size that is most appropriate for the area of your midsection you are planning on wearing this at. Because if you get a size that technically isn't designed for your measurements, but may stretch to accommodate you anyways, this thing will only wear out sooner with so little stitching for support. But if you get the appropriate size, and you treat it gently, or reinforce it if you're going to be wearing it often, I think it will do fine by you.

stretch belt
I purchased this belt in red and black. I usually wear a 14/16 or 0x/1x. Just the right about of stretch and give... you don't want it to be loose. I my opinion they fit perfectly. It doesn't roll when I sit... it's about 3" wide... Just a note:... the red one shows a gold tone clasp in the picture... both the red and black belt I received have silver tone clasps... which is what I was hoping for. But... just in case that matters to you. Now... they are pretty cheap... the clasp and the belt... but I am using with a costume.. so I am ok with that. If you're looking for a real "quality" nice looking belt with a quality clasp... this one probably isn't for you... But if you just need a cinch belt for a costume or for fun.. this belt is great! I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. And I hope this review was helpful to you!
