Good performance
First of all I'm a happy customer as the only one drawback that I'm going to mention here is not an issue for me.Pros:Display screen quality is best with good brightness and sharpness levels. Can be used for office use and gaming purpose as it looks like a business class lap.Sound is decent but not the best.No hanging or lagging even after opening heavy softwares like premiere pro and Davinci at the same time.Weight is decent as the laptop is quite big in size.Cons:Everything is good with this laptop except the plastic body and display hinges.Hinges should be stronger so that wobbling can be irradiated. The display body should have been metal as there is chance to get little pressure when kept in bag.Overall I give 8.5/10

Very good for the money, but some compromises.
First, look for the disassembly video on YT. This shows you all the internals and how to upgrade the laptop. From the references to PCIe 4.0, I'm assuming that is the Intel model, as the Ryzen is PCIe 3.0 only. So don't expect the second SSD slot to be PCIe 4. It's not. I haven't used this extensively and not played much, just a few games to test it.Let's get the cons out of the way.The hinge is wobbly. No question about that. But if the surface it's on is stable, there's zero movement while typing. On a bed, on your belly or on a table that moves ever so slightly (even a fraction of a millimeter) it's going to shake. The lid is spring-loaded and that's the price you pay for a spring-loaded lid, plus the high CG. The display has a fat lip that raises it quite a bit, so the hinge has a lot of work to do. Look at the recent video by LTT on the MSI Sword and watch the wobble on the screen, this isn't much worse. While the display is a close to 100% sRGB, the factory calibration is iffy. Gamma tracking is very poor and has to be recalibrated for almost every single brightness slider setting. What looks fine at the top brightness setting quickly becomes washed out and muted at lower brightness. Fiddling with the calibration sorts it out, but you start clipping at higher brightness. Best to find a few brightness settings you like and then work out a compromise. Again, this is not uncommon to almost all sRGB monitors, sRGB is a very small colour space (roughly equivalent to CRT and unsuitable for any kind of colour work) and I shudder to think of 63% sRGB screens palmed off to unsuspecting buyers of other laptops. The exhaust vents are blocked by the lid quite a lot when the lid is open. In docked mode this is not an issue but you can feel warm airflow in a few minutes trying to push past the lower bezel. I wonder about the long-term implications of this. The actual exhaust is only the left and right portion of the rear - not all of it. Marketing seems to indicate that the open rear is for ventilation, it's not. It's for marketing. No Gen 2 connectivity. This is the most egregious omission in 2021 and will age poorly. I think they gave up the lanes to the second M.2 slot so I kind of understand. Still, in 2023 this will start becoming an issue as faster peripherals emerge.Memory bandwidth is middling, as is storage performance. At this price it's understandable, but you should not expect low latency memory, or DRAM buffers on your NVMe. On the bandwidth story, the Ryzen versions are PCIE 3.0 only, and the GPU is connected via a x8 bus. So overall performance of the Intel versions is probably better, the question will be price and battery life. The Realtek audio and wireless are pathetic, from the bottom of the barrel. The speakers are weak, tinny and almost inaudible without the presets packaged as a 'B&O' offering. When on headphones the preset is no longer active and you can hear how bad the audio actually is. It's so bad that Bluetooth might actually be better, one of the rare instances where this is true. The wireless performance is cripplingly bad, it has about 15dB poorer reception than my phone in the same spot, on the same network. I guess it's to be expected from Realtek. I can't understand why they can't make something decent after decades in the business. This will be a problem in airports and public wifi. Be sure to disable wireless power saving if this is important to you. It's short list of cons, and the rest of the laptop is pretty good news. The 'Ocean-Bound Plastic' isn't too bad, but it does create a bit of extra weight. The finish is excellent, but the plastic is still a bit scratchy. The GPU is pretty potent, it is somewhere between the 1660Ti laptop and desktop variants as long as VRAM isn't an issue. It does suffer a bit by being flanked by the 1660Ti (which outperforms it in some games which depend on VRAM) and the vanilla 3050 (which is cheaper and performs within a few percentage points). The advantage this brings is the 5800H, and that is the primary reason to buy this laptop. It's a good workmanlike PC, just about portable enough to go with you and powerful enough to run professional applications (just not 3D) on the go.The design is a crossover between gaming and business, and it won't look out of place in a boardroom. The non-RGB keyboard and the lack of bling actually help in this regard. It's a good crossover in that respect. The keyboard is quiet, with good feel and feedback. While I spent some time venting on the screen, once calibrated the performance is quite decent, and suitable for general use. Not too far off an entry-level monitor. The thermals are beyond reproach. I had it on my belly watching Youtube for an hour yesterday and burned no fat. The bottom and the back of the laptop barely got warm.In sum , I regard this specific product less of a gaming laptop and more of an entry-level workstation. If gaming is important to you the 3060 laptops might be better, I would suggest waiting to see what the Intel versions offer. If you're looking for an entry point into gaming, the 3050 version will save you some money as not all games need the 8/16 configuration.

Just Buy IT
This is kind of a long term review, i bought it about 6 months ago, its really amazing what the laptop offers according to its price. Real good value for money deal, offers top-tier premium specs and hardware at an upper mid-range pricing. Nice graphics and crisp screen quality, with high performance software experience, handles heavy games like a pro and can be used by office bearers as well bcoz of its sophisticated design..... Don't worry about the screen flex if you are an average user, but if you're a dropper then it might be a problem ....no issues for me in terms of build quality. Will need to expand SSD, but thats okay as it has an additional SSD slot. An all-round performance device with decent battery life (excellent if compared to other gaming laptops). Also liked that it offers ms office lifetime for free...... updated to windows 11.....works like a charm!! Happy with this Purchase...!

Extremely bad plastic quality
It's been a year since I bought this laptop. Though the performance is good, the quality of the plastic is extremely poor. The laptop heats up pretty heavily due to the processor and the plastic has softened due to the temperature and has started cracking near the fan vents.Did not expect this from HP which I thought is a renowned companyPretty bad experience after spending around 80k for this laptop..
