Pretty good for the price
Initially I tried it after having Oreo flavor from Ghost earlier in the day and was a bit disappointed. Gave it another shot in the morning and did like it. It doesn't taste like crushed Oreos but is still pretty good. It mixes just fine with water in a blender bottle without the ball. I got it 25% during sale and and completely satisfied with the protein powder. Drank 2 scoops at once, didn't upset my stomach and tasted good.

Good Whey
*Update* After finishing my first tub and immediately reordering I have to admit I am obsessed with the flavor, I guess its an acquired taste and I fell in love with it. I am changing my original 4-star review to 5-stars. My new normal is to add a heaping quarter teaspoon of decaf instant coffee to the milk I mix the powder in with, an absolutely decadent tasting drink.________Original review below________Its mixes pretty well, it doesn't get lumpy, maybe a bit frothy, but that can be resolved quite quickly. The vanilla taste is definitely weird at first. At first taste it bordered on sickeningly sweet and slightly burnt, like twice roasted and them caramelized vanilla. After a week it started tasting more normal and after a month I am totally fine with the taste now.My favorite is to make make it with milk and then add a splash of black coffee, it actually tastes really good with some coffee added to knock back the sweetness and give it a bit more depth.

All in all, a solid tasting protein with a more flexible profile in terms of macros.
This is my second protein product from MuscleTech. The last product I tried was MuscleTech Nitro-Tech in Milk Chocolate. Comparatively, this product contains less protein per serving (24 vs 30g) and does not contain any creatine. The absence of creatine is helpful, especially if you already taking creatine separately. It allows you to optimize the amount of creatine that you are consuming daily. In terms of taste, I find that it does a good job of imitating a cookies and crème flavour. It does have a similar taste to drinking an Oreo McFlurry that has melted. It does not have the strong whey taste that some protein powders usually carry. There are some artificial chemical aftertastes element as well. Of course, you wouldn’t expect it to taste exactly the same as a real ice-cream desert. I also find that the thickness when mixed with water is different than regular Nitrotech. If you want a watery protein drink, then this would be suitable for you. Strangely enough, despite this, I found the mixibility worse compared to the regular Nitro Tech. This drink provides the satiety after consumption, which is nice as a snack, or after a workout giving you a hunger-buffer before you can consume a meal with real food.It seems the volume per scoop is also consistently large with this brand. In this regard, it will a) fill up youf protein shaker easier (a good or bad thing), and b) contain less servings per x/lb of a tub. Take that into consideration when calculating what you need monthly. All in all, a solid tasting protein with a more flexible profile in terms of macros.

Great value for bulk powder.
This power is great. I'm not a huge fan of the chocolate, but it mixes really well with other things. By itself, it has a weird sour taste and smell. If you mix in some instant coffee, however, it's excellent. The bulk pack is a great value.

Photos & description are wrong - whey concentrate is primary protein source
This is for the cookies & cream "8.0 servings" listing, which is a 5 lb tub.The ingredients and label have changed, with the product now mostly using whey concentrate instead of what is shown in the product photos and in the description on the Amazon page.Amazon listing - The photos show "Peptides & Isolate Primary Source" on the front label and the ingredient list starts with Isolate protein & peptide blend in front of whey concentrate.Actual product - The tub I received on May 6th, 2023 says Ultra-Pure Whey Formula with no mention of peptides or isolate on the front. The ingredient list starts with whey protein blend with whey concentrate as the first ingredient and no mention of the 97% isolate.Concentrate has less whey by volume, containing more components of the milk it is sourced from. This means more fats and more carbs (lactose!). It also means your caloric intake and macros can be off compared to what you expected. Plus concentrate is just cheaper to make with less processing, so you are being sold on the idea of something better than what you are getting. This also has less calcium, less iron, more sodium, and less potassium on the actual label compared to the photo. This wouldn't be so bad if the listing and product actually matched. But the difference can matter to some and shouldn't be ignored. Both in quality and potential effects on ingestion.
