The drills were developed by head coach Ralph Junge, the founder and director of Urspring Basketball Academy, the leading youth basketball academy in Germany. His effective training methods earned him the nickname „the shooting doctor“. Lucca Staiger is a member of the German national team and led the BBL, the German national basketball league, in made three pointers in 2012-13. He currently plays for national champions Bayern Munich. Staiger returns to Urspring Academy every summer to work with coach Junge on his shooting skills. Malik Mueller is a member of the German junior national squad and currently plays for Buzz Williams and the Hokies at Virginia Tech. He was the MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic in 2010 and the 2013 MVP of the NBBL, Germany’s top junior level league.
