Do you know what a diurnal animal is? Most people do not, although they do know its opposite, a nocturnal animal. Also my close friend's three- year-old son knows because the Cat-in-the-Hat told him about them and also especially about nocturnal animals in this book. Although he is too young to read, he loves bedtime stories and he loves learning about the wider world. I am absolutely sold on this series (the Cat-in-the Hat Learning Library) which makes learning fun and accessible for kids. This edition has a nice variety of animals and is fascinating for young children.
