This train is amazing. My grandson loves trains and was so surprised. He is able to put the train on the track and turn on with ease. Durable and well made. Great low price and would purchase as a gift for others.

The media could not be loaded. Given to 2 year old grandson, he put all his trains together and this engine was strong enough to pull it all around. Much more power from 2 triple A batteries than in other engines we've purchased. Has survived his opening and shutting the doors, putting people in/out. Changng the batteries is easy, and for all he's turned it on and left it on, the batteries last quite awhile. He's remains very engaged with this toy and finds it fun.

This train toy is really nice and works exactly like it should! The little figures it comes with work great and are about the same size as lego people. My son loves playing with it. Well made, good magnets to hold the cars together. and the batteries last a long time before needing to be replaced

My 6 year old and 1 year old have been having so much fun with this. The noises are not super loud and are cute (choo choo, brake noises when stopping, reverse sounds). Then engine can pull 7 cars in total (so the two that come included plus 5 other wooden trains).

Kid is obsessed. Needs a few batteries. Makes noises/sounds but isnt annoying.

I can’t comment on how well this train works or not because the screw on the piece covering where you put the batteries in has a triangle shape but the tiny screwdriver included with the toy is a Phillips head that does not work to unscrew this screw. And we do not have triangle screwdrivers just lying around. This made my 3 year old son pretty unhappy on Christmas morning when he couldn’t play with it because we can’t figure out how to get batteries in the dang thing 😑. I will edit my review if this problem gets resolved, otherwise I would probably recommend purchasing from someone else

Best feature of all is unadvertised. When the train falls off the wooden track or is otherwise removed, the train shuts off automatically, rather than just keep going and going. Compared to other brands, where you have to make sure you turn it off, this saves a TON of time and money after little ones walk away from a train that is "on" only to let the batteries run down. This feature alone sells it.One small imperfection: when the locomotive is going up a hill with several cars in tow, the front end of the locomotive tends to tip upwards. It works fine by itself or with one or two cars. It can tow several cars on straight or curved level tracks, but it needs a little help going up those hills. I was tempted to give this four stars for this reason, but the battery-saving feature trumps this minor complaint.
