I've purchased these twice in the past and they were very good. Not the absolute freshest I've ever had, but still tasty and a good value. This last order however, was terrible. Far too many of the nuts are dried up and shriveled, some are rotten, and some have those webs inside from some sort of insect. At least 30% were like this!These are a nonreturnable item so you're out of luck, unless you contact Amazon customer service. They did refund the money, but I would have preferred a replacement with a fresh batch of walnuts.

Fresh walnuts, zero spoiled or dried. Just perfect nuts you can brake easily even with bare hands.

The media could not be loaded. These nuts are not bleached, so they look dirty and not for presentation for guests.The size is large and may not fit some nut crackers. However, they are very easy to crack and some are already split enough to open by hand. Sometimes the meat even comes out whole without any breakage.The taste varies quite a bit. Some are buttery, but many of them do not taste as good as brand name ones.There are occasional bad ones as with any natural nuts, though there seemed to be more of them than other brands. Ease of opening makes it good snacking for yourself.

As a child in the 90s in Florida. It was common for me to eat walnuts from the shell. It wasn't uncommon to see people having them in a bowl for guests with a nut cracker near the bowl.Years went by I had almost forgotten about having them this way. Like a lot of people in recent times I just got the raw bagged shelled ones. As you may know walnuts are one of the most healthiest foods you can consume.It's a different texture and flavor experience eating unshelled vs shelled. Last week someone mentioned "who would eat a walnut from the shell it seems like so much work" it unlocked a memory. I replied "I use to eat them that way as a kid". I'm glad Amazon had these.The product has a great flavor, very fresh flavor and texture.I use to buy a 3lb bag of shelled walnuts on Amazon. I'm going to switch to these permanently.Unshelled walnuts are fresher, more nutrients and are cheaper.
