Q: how wide is this shoehorn at the widest spot?

It is not even 1 3/8 inches at its widest. I will be returning mine because it is far too narrow and was misled by the answers above claiming it is almost 2 inches wide.

Q: Will it show signs of rust in near future ?

I don't know. I don't plan on leaving it in the rain or using it in the shower. Based on the look of the metal and the finish, I doubt it. However, unless it is stainless steel (which I doubt) any prolonged soaking or exposure to water would more than likely lead to rust. It is a pretty durable metal with a really nice finish.

Q: It is advertised as 'Made in USA'. But under product details it says 'Country of orgin: China'. Does this mean it is not real USA made?
