Detailed to the max
I loved it very informative. But not boring, gave much insight on every part you can think of. Love the spells and explanation to all the different religions.

Really a great source of information it actually gives the information that’s promised in the title unlike most “ beginner “ books

Danger Will Robinson!
Okay so this is an excellent compilation of general knowledge of what hoodoo is and is not, general history etc etc.As an actual spell practitioner (and mind you, I know just enough to know I don’t know nearly enough) I am aghast. The author mixes regional religions/Divinities (many of whom do not mix well) willy-nilly. I did not see any personal author information or bio, leading me to believe the author has not formally studied (not that this is a requirement and in some cases may even be a detriment when it comes to flexible thinking in casting).Still, I would be very careful about doing any spells from this book, especially love or curse spells (which are easiest to go horribly, horribly wrong). You get what you pay for, and this book should be for general knowledge only, and not treated as a working spellbook.
