Great size, but not oversized, has convenient pockets all over, can carry neccessities with no problem.

NICE LITTLE PACK!
It's made of nylon, so is very light, important to me, has fairly-large pockets, and all the zippers seem to work well (I bought this mostly for travel on cruise ships and airplanes).I especially like the large drawstring pouch on the back, which allows immediate access to rain gear or a first aid kit, for instance, without the time delay of dealing with zippers.It also has two sizable mesh pockets, one on each side, which I'll use for a water bottle in one, and the other for a compact umbrella and small flashlight.My only criticism might be the price, which is a bit high for a pack of this size and construction, but I know that's mostly due to the name The North Face, which has a great reputation for high-quality products (my day hiking pack is a The North Face Hot Shot I've had for years, really love, and a main reason for choosing this brand, again).I bought a little rain cover-size XS, also The North Face, for it here, so I'm ready to roll, I think!
