Q: My hour hand is not moving...there were zero instructions included so is there a secret to getting it going? There are gears that aren’t moving.

the gears on this move independently of the clock , so eather the hour hand is not set on the shaft or since there are gears that are not moving it is a damaged unit and both the clock piece and gears are broken or out of alinement , most likely was droped

I only remember the assembly of the big wheel. I purchased this clock in January of 2013. Still works great.

Mine clicked several seconds apart for about 10 minutes every 6 hours. I found that the big gear was rubbing the front flange. I sprayed that area with WD40. The clicking stopped. Hasn't clicked since then.

Some are just for show...some turn some dont
