Sooo many fails, finally a success!
We've got a 70lb goldendoodle who has "solved" every slow feeder bowl to date. I tried this one in hopes that it would actually make him slow down w/his dry food (so I didn't have to spend $$$$ on only fresh food). Thank goodness, it's perfect! No more throwing up because he's bringing in too much air from swallowing w/o chewing! It works great. Just a couple big bites, then he has to fiddle with the bowl for another 5 minutes to get the rest out. There was maybe a 2-day learning curve, but now it works great! He gets dry food in the morning and fresh food at night. Such a relief.

Good product, Great customer service
only giving three stars because the food comes right out of the bottom holes when you pour it in. Fortunately, you can remove the piece that allows the food to sit level with the holes (which is also the cause for the food to come out so easily). I was all set to return this, but when I went to wash it before sending it back I discovered that piece came out. Once that was removed, the food stayed in the bowl until the dog went to work. Overall, this is a great concept and works well, but just needs some fine tuning in design.UPDATE: I've updated to 5 stars because the customer service is so impressive. As mentioned above, removing that one piece made this bowl work for me, so i'm keeping the bowl. However, they have offered multiple times to fully refund my purchase and even let me try other products for free because they truly stand by their satisfaction guarantee.

useless/great customer service
ok, first of all, this bowl is way too easy to tip over. my 10 week old lab puppy figured that out in about 2 seconds. pop it over and dump it out. but even if he hadnt figured it out, the food spills out so quickly that I might as well just pour his dinner directly on the floor.I much prefer the Kong Wobbler, but was looking for another fun way to slow down his meal time. oh well. this is uselessUPDATE: I was contacted by the company within one day of posting this review and offered a replacement or full refund. I have therefore edited my review to 3 stars to reflect great customer service. I really appreciate a company that stands behind its products and prioritizes customer satisfaction

... shelter knows they tend to scarf down their food like they don't know where their next meal is coming ...
Anyone who has adopted a dog from a shelter knows they tend to scarf down their food like they don't know where their next meal is coming from. That's the case with our new doggy Chance who barely lets the bowl come down to the floor before he finishes his kibble. I saw this as a lightning deal and decided to try it out, because it also doubles as a toy and puzzle to stimulate his mind, which I love.He figured it out right away, knocking it around and letting kibble spill onto the floor. He had fun with it and it accomplished our goal of him eating slower to prevent burping and bloating. It also gives us more time to enjoy our own (human) dinner without canine company. :) I love this bowl and will recommend it to my friends.

Definitely worth it
The media could not be loaded. Two and a half years later, this bowl is still in good shape. Our dog knows how to pick it up and throw it or flip it over but it still gives out speed eating girl a littttttle bit of a brake.

This is the best interactive slow-feeder/puzzle toy!
I have a lot of dog feeding toys, it's quite a collection. I thought I'd tried them all until my vet recommended this. This one is my favorite!Super easy to use, my anxious, suspicious dog loves it and stays engaged longer with this than other rocking bowls. I like that she has to work various angles to get all the kibble.BONUS! My German Shephard hasn't destroyed it. I'm going to get another.

The dogs enjoy it, a little too easy
I have a large lab mix and a collie mix puppy who enjoy this bowl quite a bit. It's not much of a challenge for them since the holes are big, though, so it doesn't last very long. I'd bought it to keep the puppy entertained in the crate, but he's done with it before I can even get him in there most mornings. A good buy for less enthusiastic dogs, probably, and he really does enjoy it, it just doesn't last as I'd hoped.

Great idea could use some improvements
The whole idea behind a slow feeder bowl is exactly what this Paws Rock N Bowl bowl delivers. Unfortunately my dog tips it to the point of kibble being spread all over the kitchen floor! That means she has to lick up the scattered kibble leaving a slimy wet mess behind. She also will work the bowl into a corner and then flip it upside down. Either I see what happened and set the bowl right side up or she doesn't get her food. The idea is a smart one but there needs to be a few adjustments before I can rate it more than 3 stars.
