Perfect textbook for myself, an apprentice locksmith. Should be used alongside hands-on work for best results.

Comprehensive explanation of the various techniques and tools of the locksmithing trade. You can take a class at the local college, it you can read the textbook that they're probably going to use to teach from.

Some of the details are left a bit vague, but this is not a locksmithing textbook as he plainly states at the beginning of the book

This book is worth every penny. I'm not much on reading but if the book is good enough I will be captivated enough to finish and this book did just that. I read the complete thing in less than a week and there are over 600 pages. It is not only good reading but it is a good source book for years to come. I mainly bought it in hopes that it would shed a little light on masterkeying for which it did plus a lot more. I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in Locksmithing.

I read the book and found it to be very informative. It am very pleased with this purchase. I am curious about the test in the back of the book. There seem to be some discussion on its usefulness. I took the test and am about to mail it in to the company.

My last version I have laying around was before McGraw-Hill bought TAB Books. I never bothered updating it because it wasn't really necessary and I was very wrong. Great update and well worth the price.

Not much about lock picking,a lot about install of locks and construction of locks,might help as a addition to other text

I'm new to the locksmith industry and found this book to be a great resource for learning. I aspire to become a Master Locksmith and Safe Cracker and hope to learn as much as I can from the Masters.

the book is full of useful well thought out knowledge. Its a rather thick book 0f about a inch and a half which I didn't expect. Overall the quality is good with good illustrations.

Delivers exactly what is in the description. Also enjoyable reading.Tooling details and sample pictures need updating from the 1980's reference examples though.

Everything was great

Possibly the most comprehensive book on locks and locksmithing ever produced. A must for anyone interested in locks and their development.
