I didn't love it
I really enjoyed the first book so pre ordered the second. I really felt nothing for the characters. I didn't believe in their love for eachother. Everything felt rushed. There was no substance to it. And I curse a lot but sometimes I thought it was unnecessary in this story to be so many f bombs.I couldn't get into the story, like everything just happened but I could feel no build up, no excitement to any of it.I genuinely couldn't care less if Galin and Ali never crossed paths again

Great read
This next installment was gritty and filled with fighting and revenge. When Ava is sent back to her people she is dubbed a traitor and sent to the mines. She labor’s all day with little food and no comforts. She’s determined that she will live and exact her revenge on Galin the one who banished her people to live underground. She was told that a letter was sent telling of her treacherous actions and she knew it was from him. She still thinks of her lich as her once was but now he’s golden his eyes his hair is like spun gold but she has to harden her heartGalin has no choice but to do the binding of his father the crown put on his head has sealed his fate but not his determination to get back Ali and have her in his arms. Galin is dangerous and his family knows this but he’s spell bound not to kill them if he tries his head nearly splits open from the pain he knows Ali has no idea that he’s a different man since meeting her with his brutal past of being the most deadly warrior has dimmed but he will use it at every opportunity. He still is a very powerful sorcerer and he’s working tirelessly for a spell to break the binding of his crown. Galin is a sexy and smooth with a fierce mind and will stop at nothing to get Ali back. The two collide with the winnowing and the fighting will definitely decide who the winners and losers are when failure is not an option!

This series has it all
Fighting to defend the oppressed, wild races up Beacon Hill, bad music, Boston, even Mt Auburn Cemetery! Get ready for a healthy dose of mayhem and deepening love between our prince and the long awaited liberator of her people as the changing social and political order in the post Ragnarok world of elves comes to fruition. Our duo never give up, on their cause anyway, and as we get close to the third book in the trilogy, we can only hope for our hero/ines to survive these troubled times.

What A Twist! ;)
I loved this return to Ali and Galin's story. This second book was a little less gritty and circumstances seemed a little less dire, but the action and plot were still amazing!! I am still enthralled by the post-Ragnarok premise set in the future of our real world, there's not enough great Norse mythology based books out! I absolutely adore the little current pop culture references, they make it feel a bit more real, which is always awesome. The Winnowing was a really cool concept as well, there were definitely several moments I held my breath while reading the challenges Ali and Galin faced during it. That ending though!! Totally didn't see it coming and I can't wait to see how it plays into the next book! Please write quickly!

Wow
See, I knew I was hooked on the first book, but this is something else. I was really scared to start this book because the way the first one ended had me worried that what I wanted to happen would not happen. But then PLOT. TWISTS. Nothing I expected to happen fell through. It was just plot twist after shocking plot twist. I liked Galin a lot more in this book, not to say that I didn’t like him in the last one, but there’s definitely personality differences between him and Marroc that become more obvious. I like them both in different ways, but when Galin was revealed in the last book, I did become concerned with some of the actions he immediately took. This book has a lot more explanation and back ground, plus I also came into this having already read the extra content, which was EVEN MORE back ground. If you haven’t read the extra content before reading this book, I think it does put a lot more things into perspective. The ending here made me very hopeful for the last in the series, but after all these plot twists I’m also scared that I’m lying to myself that things will just lay out how I want them to again. I’m excited to read it and find out for myself.

Ruined King
This book takes off exactly where the first one ended. IYou are immediately immersed in the world of Ali and Galen as if you had read the first book right before picking up this one. Fast paced and engrossing, I read this one from start to finish in one setting, never putting it down until the end!

Really Excellent Second Part
Hang on for a roller coaster of a ride as you follow Ali and Galin as they fight to keep he Night Elves alive. We meet the Vanir, another tribe of elves and there is a contest between the three groups of elves to determine who is going to be the ruler of them all. There is plenty of action and even a little romance between Ali and Galin. This was a very easy book to read and was hard to put down.

Norse Mythology with lots of action some romance ❤
I love this mixture of Dark Elves and High Elves with Norse mythology! The battle scenes were amazing!..Ali and Galin have carved their own fates and now will fight the Gods themselves to find their way to each other and defeat a new enemy. It will be a long wait for the next book but the wait will be worth it🤗

Ruined king (night elves 2)
Twists and turns right from the start, devious plots to grab power by whatever means necessary, mad kings in power, desperate people wanting to escape from being brow beaten and starved & two star crossed lovers who can't admit their feelings without everything imploding and exploding.Really good storyline carrying on seamlessly from the previous book, great series, can't wait for the next book.

The
Story is actually very good but it's a little bit long winded. I think it would make a really good fantasy series. Don't get many of those now.
