I have natural dark dark brown basically black hair. I've been notcing pops of gray beginning to show in my 30's. I'm so allergic to hair dyes (developed out of nowhere) so I've been out of luck until now. This is my 10th or so repurchase. The ONlY dye that i don't react to. I've tried dyes that say they are free from all the harsh chemicals and they always give me a horrible reaction. This brand does 100% work for my ppd allergy and has amazing coverage. I wish the color lasted longer, but as long as you only wash your hair every other day or less and use a color safe shampoo, it can last a decently.

Product did not cause any irritation but I never got to use on my beard because as others have mentioned when I did a test on my arm the product is definitely not black but purple. Also ordered the dark brown color after reading reviews that stated it will turn your hair black. After applying this product not only did it turn purple but it also caused a skin reaction. This product should not be sold and after trying 2 different color I am assured this dye is ineffective and a waste of money. I threw both orders away. Do not waste your money

The process was easy for anyone who is a diy person. The color is a vivid black. What I was most concerned is that I had no allergic reaction to it. That was my key factor in ordering it. The color doesn’t last long but it does last long enough time to enjoy your natural color. Also, I only color the spot in front that has the most gray. I actually have enough left over to do that spot again.

Only dye I can use that does not irritate my skin. Only issue is that it only last for 5-7 days before having to redye.

I am so disappointed in myself. I should have listened to my gut. I’ve tried so many “natural” and “gentle” hair dyes. The last reaction I had was from a very popular “gentle” product. My scalp was so swollen that I couldn’t put my glasses on. It was so painful. The reviews on this product seemed promising. Several people claimed that they have severe allergies to hair dyes but, did not get a reaction from this product. It really got my hopes up. I did a patch test on the one tube (as directed) and did not have even the slightest reaction! I was so excited!!! I gave 3 stars because my hair does look and feel amazing. I am very satisfied with the results. It was so easy to apply! However, minutes of applying the second tube, I knew that I had made a huge mistake. Although I absolutely love how it turned out (even though I thoroughly washed my hair a few minutes after applying the second tube), I am definitely having a reaction. My scalp is on fire. I know that we are all different, and our reactions/outcomes are not the same. But please be careful. If you have severe allergies to hair dyes, please patch test using both tubes. Don’t trust reviews when it comes to allergies! If you do not experience allergic reactions to hair color, this product is great.

This product works extremely well for me! I found through trial and error that I'm allergic to every single hair dye product I've tried. I even tried using henna products but, even though I didn't have an allergic reaction, it tended to make the gray hairs in my beard a dark purple - and after only a week or two. Also, I had to apply and leave henna on my hair for literally hours to get it to cover the gray. I gave Speedy a try and voila! It covers the grays, made my beard smooth - all with no itchy skin irritation. It has simple instructions; you use part one for the recommended time and then apply part two. I read a negative review where it says the mixture was like tar and washed off - you aren't supposed to mix the two parts together in the tray!! SMH, just FOLLOW the very SIMPLE directions and it works!

Completely doesn't work at all, especially on 4c low absorption hair. I left it on for three times the amount of time just to make sure it wasn't just a length of time thing and it still didn't take. Just washed right off.

I was kinda shocked that after putting on the first cream then adding the 2nd on top of it after waiting it turned black immediately! And the black that got on my skin washed away pretty easily vs regular box colors that are almost impossible to get off skin. As such I wondered if the dye on my hair would also wash away but it didn’t! My favorite shampoo is a soap bar type that always washes away tons of color from my regular hair dye but barely any of this black washed out. Only 3 adjustments noticed: 1. You may need 2 boxes because unlike regular hair dye in a box where you mix the developer & color which makes it twice the volume, with this you don’t mix them so it goes half as far if that makes sense. 2. There aren’t any chemical smells while coloring but after rinsing there was a smell so I used hair products that have nice smells and also shampoed (note: I didn’t try the shampoo that came with the color since I’m allergic to nuts so perhaps it helps the smell?) but after shampooing it went away. 3. I didn’t notice the comb that came in the instructions since I had xtra gloves on hand. Apparently it’s important thoroughly apply because I missed a spot that remained completely white/gray so next time I will use the comb. It would be advisable to not use the entire amount in case you miss a spot. I reordered 2 boxes to use again. I’m so thankful as I thought I’d have to stop coloring since I’m so allergic to all regular box dyes. I’m surprised this actually worked!

My mom has a very sensitive skin and she tried everything- some hair dye from big brands, ammonia free, hena dye, and anything she can find in the chemist warehouse. However, this was the fastest with almost no irritation. She is so happy to be free from burning scalp after dyeing her grey hair and willing to buy them again
