Kohler K-8801-2BZ Duostrainer Sink Strainer, Oil Rubbed Bronze

Unfortunately this color, advertised as oiled bronze, looks black and doesn't match the delta faucet , venetian bronze which was damaged and had to return It is now too late to return it through amazon although I just received the replacement tap/

Really Drains

Coating on the drain plug chipped within the first year.

These things look great but as other reviews have mentioned, the strainer/plugs have a tendency to leak straight out of the box. I ordered 2, one leaked and one worked fine. Out of the 2 I ordered, one was in a sealed box and the other had clearly been opened. I am guessing it was returned due to the leaking plug. I returned the leaking one and had another sent to me. When I opened that package, I could tell that box had previously been opened too. I was fearing the worst but it did stop the water from draining out of the sink. All in all, they seem well made other than the leaking plug. And look good. I ordered the oil rubbed bronze but there is not much character to it. They seem mostly dark without the bright streaks of bronze underneath.
