My grandmothers original pizzelle recipe calls for "pure anise oil" (not anise extract) I bought this to finally make her recipe after 15 years. The house was filled with the anise smell i remember from my childhood and the pizzelles came out fantastic! Great product!

I previously gave a negative review as product appeared to be dried up or something. I, however, did NOT toss it and surprisingly it’s become liquid as it should be!!! I do not know what happened during the shipping process but I’m guessing it froze. Happily I will be able to use this now!! This is supposed to be an oil. It’s all solid and crystallized. AND IT’S NOT RETURNABLE. Waste of my money. I’m very unhappy

Can’t have Italian pizzelle without pure anise oil. A favorite of my family since our ancestors arrived on Ellis Island. I am keeping the Christmas tradition going and send to my brothers across the states.

Used in a recipe that called for 1 tablespoon and it was just the right amount needed for the taste. Will be buying again
