Hey, yes it does. It has a white button on the end just like a full sized guitar. It also has a strap button on the underside of the neck by the body. That one is a chrome one.

Is the gig bag strong enough to be checked on a flight? Will the gig bag protect the guitar if it was thrown around by airline workers?

I would never put a gig bag in checked luggage. That would require a hard-sided case, and even then you need some luck.
