Q: Is this better than the original Denman Brush? I have fine 4c, some a&b, low to medium density hair for context

I have 4c hair so I'll answer. This is better then the small one you can blow dry more hair faster and sometimes I use it to chase with my flat iron.

Q: Is this good for blow drying? I find that over time the denmans loose their elasticity because of the heat from the blow dryer.

I find over years that the pink matting disintegrated but I still love Denman's. It takes about 10- 20 years and by then, it's time for a new brush anyway!

Q: Can this be used on nappy real tough 4c hair?

Hi, thank you for your question. Our D38 brush is great for detangling wet/towel dried curly hair. It has the firm pins of our D3 set in an air cushioned pad, you will notice the air hole in the bottom half of the pad. This brush is also be perfect for long, thick hair from straight to curly.
