These knives are fantastic! The photos don't do them justice. The handles are an iridescent red and look great with the black blades. They are extremely sharp and will never need sharpening! The potato peeler also works well. The red handles on these cover the back end of the blade so there is not a sharp corner that can cut your finger. I also have the black handle knives with the black blades made by this same manufacturer and they do not have this feature. With the all black version is possible to contact the back corner of the blade with your finger. The red handles are a vast improvement over the black ones and they do not effect the functionality. I would highly recommend these ceramic knives. Just be sure not to drop them or subject them to a twisting motion because they can snap if you put too much force on them. Cutting and chopping works great but be sure to use a bamboo cutting board. Don't use them on glass cutting boards and its best to hand wash them after use. I'm sure you will be very satisfied.

These knives are gorgeous! In fact, they were more than I expected in appearance. The handles are ruby red and the blades are gray black. The knife is well designed and the handle drops nicely to protect fingers. The knives fit my small hands perfectly. I can only give this four stars because the paring knife was not as sharp as the others. This was a big disappointment since I was planning on using the paring knife for making fine cuts in decorative fruit and vegetable carving.I let the vendors know and they offered a small refund and apologies. I requested an exchange or replacement for the not so sharp paring knife. The vendor said my request could not be fulfilled and opted to give me a partial refund, thus the four star rating.I hope the vendors can figure out how to control the quality of all their knife sets. As for me, my experience is bitter-sweet.

I actually purchased this knife set as a gift for my aunt. The knives are absolutely beautiful. The blades are polished black ceramic, and the handles are a beautiful almost metallic red, like blood red. They also have like a nonslip finish on the handles. The knives are light, but solid. Very well made in my opinion.
