This projector is great. I received many comments at our church where I had installed it. It was much brighter and higher definition than our previous one. The only problem I had was because I had not figured in the fact the lens was off to the left (It was hanging from the ceiling). The previous projector's lens was in the middle. So I had to off set the projector and then it would not properly fit in its space. My problem not the projectors.

Great Projector
We love this projector. The picture is clear. If you don't have a wireless speaker, the sound is from the projector is decent. We would definately buy this again.

This works as expected. Reasonable size. Appropriate weight. I cannot give it 5 stars however b/c I think it is the ultimate in cheap to have a projector that is advertised as "wireless," costs so much already, and require you to buy a separate dongle to communicate wirelessly. I mean criminey. Wireless recievers are so small and cheap, to not simply build one in as an integrated part of the projector is inexcusable. But, I needed this now, did not have time to shop for an integrated one, so I bought this. If you don't care about that, the projector would be 5 stars but I bought to use with my ipad in trial so now I use my apple tv which brings its own host of problems with trial soft ware and at times apple tv crashing. Ridiculous to not integrate wireless.

Great Business Presentation Projector - Nice Bright Images with Lots of Option for Business Use
The ViewSonic LightStream PJD6552LW DLP Projector would be a great unit for presentations, education, church or anyplace that the material is slide type presentation. The remote has a laser pointer built into it, nice feature. As far as home theater use, there are better options on the market. That said it does support 3D Sync with some limitations. Image brightness will be reduced, and color mode cannot be adjusted and the zoom function has a limited size. The projector also has a cover that can be removed to allow installation of a HDMI/MHL dongle. Depending on type, this can allow for wireless broadcasting to the projector. The cover is held in place by a screw allowing it to be installed permanently. For business type use this unit excels with features. The network options allow control of the unit through a web browser. With Microsoft, it has to be version 7.0 or higher. There are many supporting online packages that support this projector that the manual goes into detail about. The ViewSonic LightStream projector produces a nice bright image even at full size. Max screen size at 16:9 ratio is 150” x 95.3”. That is with the projector over 12 feet away from the screen. My only complaint is the fan noise and that it doesn't come with a lens cover. The fan is noisier compared to other units I have used. Other than these two items, it is a great unit for business type use.

Solid projector for office & home
This is a WXGA (16 by 10 aspect ratio) projector that works seamlessly with 1280X800 widescreen laptops and also projects 720p (16 by 9 aspect ratio) TV shows (with bars at the top & bottom). You can feed the projector a 1920X1080 (HD) signal from a computer, and it will down-scale to 720p with the same bars top & bottom. While testing this machine, I got bright, vibrant PowerPoint presentations on a professionally installed, high(er) end 8' wide screen in a conference room that is well-lit with normal fluorescent lighting. I also tried outputting an iTunes movie through an Apple HDMI dongle attached to my phone and got an HDCP error. I can't believe that this new projector doesn't support HDCP (a digital rights management scheme), but there it was. I did finally get a movie to play by defeating HDCP and the picture was much nicer than I expected with no adjustment (skin tones were a little redder than they should have been). The brightness, however falls off A LOT in "movie" mode and is not really useable with the lights on. This is a nice, dual purpose projector that will project presentations in normally lit conference rooms all week, and then show movies in the dark on the weekend.
