This works really well at draining mt large pond up to a certain point then the hose wont stay up for it to drain so you have to hold it and the hose keeps sticking together so that the water doesn't flow or very slowly but the actual vessel works good enough .

I bought the pump to empty my hot tub. It did the job, but it would have been more efficient if the lay flat hose had been of a stiffer design, as the frequent kinking restricted the water flow. Another point to note is that the instructions show the pump standing, whereas it does not have the weight underwater to do this, however it is still capable of working on its’ side.

We have a large fish pond with 30 or so fish and the bottom accumulation of sludge needs to be cleared. I wrongly assumed that this device could be used as it is for dirty water and no pieces would exceed the maximum on the instructions. The operating instructions inside the packaging warned against using the device for use in a fish pond so I had to return the device unused.

The images for this product give the impression that it comes with hose clips. It doesn't. Luckily the hose fits tightly enough to hold for a brief period but I'd recommend clipping it. Pump does the job well enough.

Unbelievable. I’ve had a Karcher one of these for years, took over an hour to empty the hot tub. I lost a part for it so bought this instead. It empties the hot tub in about 15 mins! Get a proper pump hose (wider than a garden hose) for full speed
