Easy to install exactly what I wanted

Terrible quality… could not get the hwy pegs to tighten down enough to stop it from sliding Downwards when I put any weight on them (Resting my feet on them) tried to tighten them down a bit more so they wouldn’t slide downwards and snapped the retaining plate that holds the bolt so totally useless now… Waist of money buying this product spend a bit more and buy a quality set of hwy pegs you will be much happier in the long run and it will be well worth the extra money you spend… Very Disappointed in This Product… Would never recommend these hwy pegs to anyone.

My first one-star review, and I buy quite a few products through Amazon every month. These footpegs are NOT SAFE. They have failed twice on me. The problem is they are made from a cheap metal (my mechanic calls it cheap pot-metal after looking at the interior after breaking). They are designed to grip onto a cylinder, but to get them to grip tight enough so they do not rotate out of position while riding, you have to tighten the final 18mm bolt quite a bit. I even tried using self-amalgamating tape to give it something to grip onto. Regardless, these broke twice while tightening. Which means the bolts are stronger than the pegs themselves. The first time they broke (green background pictures below) I was doing the tightening (and I have worked on motorcycles for decades), the second time they broke when my mechanic was tightening them (and he has three times as much experience turning wrenches as I do). See the attached pictures. If these were to fail on someone while going down the road you run the risk of running over chunks of sharp metal with your rear tire, which could lead to an accident. I am not the first person to complain here about this. Spend the extra money and buy quality pegs. I am out $65 because for the first time, Amazon failed to understand the situation. I just hope this review keeps other people safe. I feel lucky to have only lost some money here, and did not have an accident on the road.

IMO these look real nice, but when you get to the fit that's when it stops. The shims are hard to fit in the pegs, they were missing some washers, no instructions at all but they look good for the money
