I had purchased two of these for my neighbor and after setting them up, decided I needed to have these too! I'm not very "techie" and still managed to get them working in NO time. I'm happy with the picture quality, the instant notifications of movement detected and how easy the app is to use for configuring the cameras.These AlkiVision Cameras are EASY to set up, easy to configure and they produce the images I desired. I am using them with SanDisk 128GB MicroSD HC Ultra Uhs-1 Memory Cards. I learned from (vehicle) dash cams how important it is to use these CLASS 10 cards - since the other types are unreliable (and will likely cause the cameras to not perform as designed). I have not had any of the problems others have reported, and I suspect that may be because I am using CLASS 10 Micro SD cards.For placement I chose to start with temporarily mounting them at what their specifications said was the maximum distance (as shown in these three pictures). There is much clarity at this distance - and when zoomed into the pictures - which is what I wanted. I did relocate these closer though, just for practicality.Through the Adorcam app is the only way you can set them up. I am satisfied with the app and its performance but as with everything I wish there were more features. For instance, I'd like the app to better identify a human movement as opposed to a vehicle, some branches moving or an animal. As of now there is no "sensitivity" adjustment for such things. Otherwise I'm pleased with the Adorcam app.As for instructions that are included with the cameras, well again, I wish there were some changes made here too. Like seemingly every consumer item produced in China there are translational differences when written in English (some quite humorous!). One must be adept at translating what's written, even though it's close to being grammatically correct. I'm pretty good at it personally. If you aren't, there are YouTube videos available (if I'm not mistaken) that are linked through a QR Code included on a business card or via a link found in the TINY instruction manual. I found that downloading the instruction manual was much easier to read when it was on my PC/Laptop/Tablet. In any case, AlkiVision provides decent instructional materials.Overall I am QUITE pleased with my purchase. For the money I am getting the results that much more expensive wireless outdoor video cameras offer. That to me makes these an incredible value! I highly recommend the AlkiVision outdoor wireless camera! (P.S. - these truly *ARE* wireless and do not have ANY wires attached - unlike many others I looked at that claimed to be "wireless").

I really love this camera and I went through 3 others before I landed on this one! The reason I love it is it’s simple to set up and simple to maintain. I’m not a techy person so the fact that I was able to get this up and running by myself was awesome. The app is easy to read and always alerts me to activity at my door. The picture is sharp during the day and night it has an adjustable sensitivity to motion which I love. Also a lot of other cameras don’t alert you to motion unless you’re at home connected to your home wi fi. But with this system you can be gone from your home and still receive updates on any motion from your camera. I bought a second one to put at my garage looking down toward my driveway so I can see someone coming up to my door before they actually get there. The microphone works really well and you can talk to anyone that’s at your door very easily. Also I thought I was going to hate the fact that I had to recharge the battery in the system. But honestly I think I’ve only charged it once in 4 months. It lasts forever so don’t worry about that at all. For the money this security system is amazing and I wouldn’t have bought two of them if I didn’t love the simplicity of the system! Make sure you buy a micro SD card so you can save your videos. And I love not having any monthly subscriptions or fees!!! Just buy it and give yourself some peace of mind!

First of all, there is a max size on the SD card this product will work with. I tried to put a 1 TB Micro SD card in and it did not save my videos, so if you have any issues try putting in a 256GB or small Micro SD card. The camera itself is great and has a variety of settings and options. You can customize the distance for motion detection, so it does not record every passing car. The night vision is surprisingly good for a product at this price point, and I was pleased with how well it records audio as well. The camera survived 2-degree weather this winter and several snow / windstorms while continuously doing its job. I bought 2 and so far, they have a battery life of about 1 month, even in the cold (for me anyway). I like that you can add two (or more) cameras to the app and watch them all. One thing to note is that it does not record continuously, only when motion is detected. However, you can watch the live feed from the app whenever you want. That suits my needs and I like that it conserves power and storage space this way. You can also use the microphone to speak to people through the camera and hear their responses, which is nifty. Overall, I found this to be a great value and I would buy more in the future.

We wanted an inexpensive security camera for our front door to find out who's the owner of the dog that's been leaving crap by our mailbox. We haven't caught them yet but I have to say this camera has great video quality. We like getting notifications on our phone when packages are left by the front door. Prior to owning this, we've had packages left outside for a while. We haven't had the need to use the microphone but we tried it and it works great as well. We've only been using it three weeks so we don't know how long the battery life will last. So far, we've only used two bars out of five I think. My only complaint is the motion detection. We have a tall bush on our front yard and when it's windy I get a ton of notifications. I even changed motion detection to only 50% but it didn't help. We've learned to ignore irrelevant notifications and just delete them. Overall, great security camera especially for what you pay for.
