A wonderful addition to the garage.
My garage had evolved, or rather, devolved into something that more resembled the garbage pit in Star Wars when Han, Luke and Leia were on the destroyer. This was the year of clearing it out. Over the years, I've assembled a store's worth of shovels and assorted gardening/snow/and other things. Let's just say I have a favorite shovel, a 2nd favorite shovel, and a 3rd favorite shovel.. and that's just with snow. There will be no pictures because I forgot to take a picture of how truly packed and disorganized my garage was. Let's just say, you had to climb over my lumber, mower and all sorts of other things to get to the back and even there, you weren't standing on the floor.Anyway, I looked at a couple of systems and I also read a lot of reviews for those systems. I was attracted to the modularity of this wall, the sturdiness of the construction and the overall aesthetic. Gladiator has tons of attachments so if I, in the future, possibly want to hang something new, they probably will have that attachment. The attachments, which I looked at carefully at a big box, were sturdy welded items that looked like they could take a beating.Installation was easy. Basically, find your studs. Mark the locations. Figure out how much you need to buy based off that calculation. (Because I had come over a distressing number of people who said that the 8 foot were sometimes damaged on the end, I went for the four foot. The four foot sections were well packaged.) I used exterior decking screws #8, 2 inch screws. And then, I went to town. Once I got my base level leveled and installed, the rest were simple tongue and groove. If you install it on the studs properly, it's going to hold very well. (I screwed every single spot that I could so 3 studs and each row except where I had some sort of obstruction.)Please note, the lengths aren't perfect. There is minute variation in the length. I bought some trim but I decided that I preferred the more unfinished look. But I can easily add the trim in the future if I want. You can also cut it with a miter saw or a circular saw and get the perfect length. I wasn't interested in slicing 1 mm off the length.Gladiator attachments are pricey but they do go on sale. (another biggie for me.) That's where they make the money. And of course, the system is piecemeal so you can add on as you get a better idea of how you want to use your wall real estate. Just make sure you've got it set up for larger spaces if that is your ultimate goal. Mine went from a rather small section to a 4 x 8 section and it's holding most of my rakes and shovels. I'm using the tool hook (the one with the 2 long prongs) and it's working out well for me.You can also use these same attachments on a gear track. I just wanted a larger area where I could pop in hooks to hold other stuff like power cables and things like that without having to worry about shovel/rake heads and their handles.I'm very very happy with this purchase.

Solid. Sturdy.
I did a ton of research before selecting this system. There a bunch of cheaper systems available but I know I wanted the piece of mind of having solid PVC on the wall. There are hollow PVC walls that will not stand up to the task like this will. In all I bought about 100 square feet of this wall track. I think it is a bit overpriced but was better having a solid system then having tools fall on my cars. It cleans up the garage nice and holds all of equipment perfectly.Installation takes a while because it needs a lot of screws to properly install it. I used deck screws for the holding power and sheer strength. The wall shows no weaknesses and can easily handle what I put on it.I wish they sold this kit in a charcoal or dark grey but other than that I have no complaints.

Buyer beware, not standard slatwall panels
Unfortunately I failed to read all the reviews about the being a non standard size for slats. Slat walls are supposed to be standard like a pegboard, but NO! Gladiator had to go and make their own. I didn’t even think to look because they had such amazing reviews. They ARE easy to install. They are NOT that strong, but that was going to be fine. They’re plastic. Standard accessories WILL NOT WORK WITH THESE. The low review reflects the unhappy buyer who now has To decide what to do. I already own accessories for slatwalls so do I return this with holes already drilled from mounting them, or do I buy more EXPENSIVE, Gladiator brand accessories
