I specifically wanted a ticking clock. This clock does NOT tick. I feel extremely misled by the product description and the AI summary saying it did tick. <disappointed>I'm giving 5 stars only because it does function well. It's a nice small clock with smooth second hand sweep, if you want a quiet clock.I'm still disappointed though.

I suppose some people have issues sleeping with noise. I have multiple key-wound clocks throughout my home, so ticking, chiming and marking of the hour does not phase me. Curiously, my grandchildren are the same, as they absolutely cannot sleep in dead silence.The clock (that ticked) that was in their "guest" room at my house died after many years. I searched for a clock that did NOT have a sweeping second hand but rather had a "ticking" second hand. All of the reviews I read for this clock suggested this was precisely what I needed.Ordered it, put the battery in and immediately realized that this is a SILENT clock. While I do like it, and it fits in the space I needed it to be placed along with the fact that it actually works, I'm disappointed that it was not as presented: this is a SILENT clock that does NOT tick.Guess I'll be getting a noise machine or playing white noise music through our phones with an attached speaker when our grandchildren come because there is no ticking on this new clock - exactly that they would have been satisfied with but obviously did not get.Way to go, Amazon and other reviewers: I was mislead on one of the key elements of this device. **Shaking my head** If you're looking for a silent clock, this is nice. If you're looking for an actual ticking clock, move on and find something else, because this will not be what you're looking for.

The media could not be loaded. I love this clock. It makes a really nice ticking sound and the overall quality and readability is great. It DOES make a loud ticking sound, which is the whole point of it, which I really enjoy. Great clock if I could give more stars I would.

Very guiet

Really Great Product !!! Put in battery, it ran for 36 hrs and quit. Put in fresh out of package battery, it ran for 40 hours and quit.

I really like this clock. After buying clocks previously and having to return them because they were so cheaply made and just junk, it’s so nice to find a clock that doesn’t look cheap, is easy to read, looks good and works.This clock does make noise when the second hand moves. I personally like that, but this is not a silent clock. It does tick. I use this in my garage.I think this clock is made pretty well and it’s a great price for what you get. I think it’s well worth it.

The media could not be loaded. I specifically want a ticking clock to count seconds during exercising, and found this one which says it's ticking. However, it's not ticking. The seller should update the product title.
