Just what I needed
This is a great hitch. I have the Reese Sidewinder king pin, so this is the proper hitch for it. I like the ready to hitch indicator, along with the tow and no tow indicator. ( which is the same indicator ).

Will NOT latch onto kingpin. Left me stranded!!
Horrible quality control. After a nightmare in shipping and missing items (Amazon customer support was great and worked with me to get the order right), I finally was able to assemble and install this hitch in my F350. Unfortunately, my RV was already setup in a campground over 2.5hrs away from my home and when I went to retrieve the camper, the hitch would not latch onto the kingpin. I spent 4 hours trying and trying. I was sure I must be missing something. Fellow campers even came out to offer assistance. I have been towing a 5th wheel camper for 12 years with a Curt 20k hitch and never had a problem. I followed all instructions with the new Reese M5 20K hitch and it absolutely would not latch. I tried raising the hitch height, lowering the hitch height, setting the height exactly 1in from strike plate as instructions say,.... no luck. The most disturbing part is that the green "ready to tow" indicator would show even when the king pin jaw was only partially engaged. This is not only frustrating but dangerous! This hitch left me stranded until I could reinstall my old Curt Hitch (which connected right away). I've attempted to contact Reese Technical support 3 times now, over 2 weeks with no response. I have videos of the hitching procedure but wasn't able to load them here. I would gladly share these with anyone from Reese. Do NOT buy this hitch unless you enjoy infuriating tasks. I gave it one star for looks,... function gets 0 stars!!UPDATE: Reece warranty services contacted me and are replacing the malfunctioning head unit (portion of the hitch that contains the locking jaw). Will let you know how the replacement works.
