Works great and their product support is fantastic
I bought this solar panel to replace a cheap 3rd party one that was installed with my driveway gate and tore through its aluminum frame in the wind (we often have gusts over 60 mph). This panel comes with a mount that is exceptionally sturdy and relatively low, and thus the wind is not an issue. I did have a problem getting it to work initially with my LA500 Liftmaster system, but an inquiry to customer support resulted in a rapid reply that I needed to hook it directly to the battery, not to the circuit board (which has a separate power management system), because the solar panel has its own power management system. Once I did this, the panel started charging the battery and it works great.

Works perfect on my humvee

It works
So this type of panel has my general criticisms of series vs. parallel arrangement issues and the wavelength it's tuned to. It's not the best for generating power is shaded or partially shaded areas and any shade on part of the panel nearly disables the output. However, it has a build-in charge controller for 12V batteries which is nice in some ways and it includes easy to use mounting brackets. This is great for some applications such as charging my battery I use to power the water pump that I use with my rain water collectors.

Great valie!
High quality, great value too! Works has 3 modes for conventional wet cell, AGM, and lithium batteries.I installed on my diesel forklift that I seldom use because a new alternator and regulator were $800. Since it sits outside, the solar trickle charger keeps enough charge to the battery so I didn't have to replace the dead alternator. I mounted it on the roll bar, and it provides shade while I drive it too!

Works
Got this same 24v solar battery charger 3 years ago. It finally failed. Hopefully I'll get 3 years or more out of this replacement!

If there isn't enough light this actually drains the battery
I found that even if the indicator LED is blinking red, indicating that it is charging the battery, the controller could actually be draining your battery instead of charging it. It's only about a 2.5mA drain, but it's constant night and cloudy day. This affects its usefulness as a maintainer as after a week or two of rainy weather it could lead to a dead battery that wouldn't be dead if you didn't have this "maintaining" it.I'll still try to use it. I'll have to unplug it at night and during cloudy days though. It would have been nice if I could just set it up and forget it. I tried to check the charge current on a good bright day, but it makes my ammeter jump around and I can't get a good reading. I blame the blinking LED for making the current jump around so much, but I think at times I'm getting about 100mA in bright sunshine, which is only about 2.5 Watts.
