Q: Are these servos waterproof?

I do not know for sure. They are listed for use on boats but the specs also say keep out of humid air.

Q: What power supply should I use?

Working Voltage: 3.0V-7.2V, within this range is ok.

Q: Are these dimensions consistent with an MG996R servo motor from other manufacturers?

I've purchased from several different manufacturers and they have all been the same size. In fact, any "standard" servo will fit the same size opening. The only difference might be in the height or depth of the servo.

Q: Will these servos run on a 7.4 volt lipo receiver battery without burning up? Or do I need to use a lower voltage nicad battery?

I used them with a 2s and a 3 s and had no issues
