This device at this cost is super useful to cool and circulate the air in a typical flat situation. As well as the vertical fan, it has a section to store and circulate water in the form of a mist. The effect of this is not only to humidify the room but as the mist evaportes it absorbs heat in the room to lower the ambiant tempurature. Physics 101. This device comes with a remote control which allows you to change the how hard the air blows as well as set humidifer mode, and control pivot mode for the airflow. You can also do all this from the control panel on the device. This device at this price is recommended over those tiny desktop units which do the samething less effectively. Also the 4 litre capacity water container will easily last 7 hours on medium settings.

I bought this wanting to get cooler air instead of just my tower fan as it uses water with ice packs but it is no more cooler than the tower fans we have which is a shame. It is still cool air and the settings, size and speed are good but not as cool as I expected

Easy enough to put together, however, try deciphering the extremely badly worded instruction booklet! Then I came up against the first stumbling block, not all of the wheels fit into the holes!! 2 went in fully and 2 didn’t but manage to balance. The controls for low, Medium, high have absolutely no difference in speed, sound or feeling of cool air. I think the buttons are just for show! I applied the ‘Cool’ button thinking I would get colder air, but no difference. Not powerful at all. Very noisy and cheaply made. To get any type of air, you need to sit about 2cms in front of the thing! No air actually circulates. I wouldn’t recommend this product. I’ve had those little cooler cubes, which you fill with water and they do exactly the same thing but take up much less space and provide cool air. UPDATE: I have requested a return, but the seller is not providing a return label - another reason not to buy this product. Better off with a handheld fan!

I never do reviews, but i felt I had to do this one. This cooling system really works. After the hot weather we are having the fans I had just we’re not working. So I took a chance and bought this. It’s a great size, easy to use, it really does cool down the room. It’s a tiny bit noisy but not too loud. But to be honest a little bit of noise really out ways the lovely cold air it puts out. Well worth the price. I would highly recommend 👍👍 Little tip I use is I put a couple of ice cubes in the water tank as well as the ice packs.

Unfortunately, it does not cool the air, and that is what I wanted. It is simply a larger fan and as a fan I recommend it. As an air cooler I do not recommend it. Therefore 3 stars. Fast and efficient shipping. Packed with care.

A bit more compact than I was expecting but it is a decent cooler. Easy on the eye, mine has now blended in with the rest of the furniture. After seeing mine, my Grandad and Mother in Law both now have one also. All functions can be controlled from both the remote and the unit itself. Comes with 2 ice packs which is handy, I just alternate between the freezer and the cooler when I need to have constant cooling. Smaller sized flat ice packs (like the type for portable coolers) would also fit. The only negative I have is that the water tank does not have a closed lid, which looks to me like the water could spill easily if moved too quickly or vigorously. And one thing I have to say, even though it seems so insignificant, the dock for the remote is one of my favourite things about it. EVERY remote operated device should have this feature!

If you want a unit that is going to cool and air condition a room then you need to look elsewhere. I have been running it on full power, tank full of water, ice packs and ice cubes and a room thermometer monitoring temperature. Windows and doors all shut in a 12x 12 foot bedroom It hasn't made any difference to the room temps and to be honest unless you are sitting or standing right in front of it you won't even feel it blowing on you. It is really just a small fan with a trickling noise and the water seems to be a feature rather than an actual difference maker. I can't tell any change between the cooling function and the humidifier and neither program appears to do anything different. I even tried putting the unit up on a desk to see if raising the height would improve performance but it made no difference either. I know you get what you pay for and proper air conditioning units are in the hundreds of £ but this product doesn't even seem to do a good job as a simple tower fan because unless you get very close to it you won't even know it's on. It's too low on the ground to be of much use on hot nights because unless you sleep on the floor or get it up higher you won't feel it on a bed height and even during the day it's not able to circulate cool air around a room to be of much use. Whatever your expectations or hopes are for this product lower them, because it really is nothing special at all and I would return it if it wasn't for the high cost of return postage. Avoid.
