Inspiring & timeless
Very straight forward book.Love the nostalgia and love he has for pie.Definitely when fall and winter comes it’s my go to book to read and be inspired to make savory pies.Highly recommend and have an open mind.His recipes are more like guidelines. Be adventurous and be inspired!

A Beautiful Book with Wonderful Recipes
This book is wonderful! Not only is it beautiful, but the recipes and methods are genius, and I've loved everything I've made.The shortcrust pastry is what I've made most (seen in pictures). I've used it for so many tasty meals, snacks and desserts. The pumpkin scones (seen in pic) are such a unique blend of flavors and taste absolutely wonderful!I got mine for a gift from my boys, and I love it so much, that I got one for my daughter in law, who also loves it.

Finally a pastry related baking book that is focused on SAVORY!
I pester my husband all of the time to bake me more savory things. He has a sweet tooth and I prefer savory. Anyways, we BOTH LOVE this book! Plenty of pastry choices and insight to provide my husband (the one whom bakes the most in the house) with plenty of ideas for other recipes. So far we have made (and followed the recipe to the T) the beef + turnip pies as well as a pumpkin galette. They came out very good with a perfect crust.

Fancy pie cookbook
This book is actually a 5 star but i am more like a 3/4 star pie baker. These recipes are involved! Lots of steps and 'all day baking' is a slight exaggeration (but not by much). I liked that the book had savory pie recipes. The UK bakers are experts at making pies in all sorts, shapes and textures which I aspire to but for now, this book is too advanced for my skill level.

A must have in your cookery book library’
This book provides a comprehensive guide to pastry making! Follow his foolproof steps to a range of pastries and the wonderful pies, tarts, and quiches you can make with them.I know this is a book I will be referring to for years to come!

Instant Classic
Love this book, full of classics we will make again and again for years to come. It’s a wonderful follow up to Tivoli Road Baker which is also an exceptional cookbook. Highly recommend getting both!

Love this cookbook!
Wow.. what a great cookbook!I always lean towards savory baking, and Amazon, in a spooky way, suggested this title to me.So far I have made the fish pie, (great), hazelnut, celery root, and kale muffins, (Very good), and the squash and pumpkin seed pie.. (WOW).I cant wait to try more recipes.. their seem to be plenty both veggie centric and meat centric bakes. There are even two recipes featuring kangaroo and wallaby... dont worry, you can subsitute beef for those if you dont have a roo handy.I enjoyed this book so much, I went and purchased his other cookbook.
