Genuine Honda 79710-SDA-A01 Water Valve Assembly

Fits perfectly and exact replacement. My car is a 2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4L. Unfortunately it went out at about 159,500 miles, the lever broke off and coolant leaked out. This part was cheaper than AutoZone and comes complete with the bracket. Look up YouTube videos for “heater control valve replacement” it’s a simple fix with a needle nose 45 degrees plier and a regular plier. A single 10mm nut holds the bracket in place.

My 07 Accord was leaking out of this housing. I could tell this was the culprit because of coolant right underneath it and all over the exhaust. Making for a real nice smell after driving.Part worked great and stopped the leak.Took me about an hour, I would say medium difficulty because it's cramped. Way cheaper then having a shop do it though.

05 Honda with restricted flow in the heater core, barely any heat. Tried flushing to no effect. Control valve cable and arm were moving when adjusting the temperature control, all looked good (car was running up to temp). Nothing left to try but replacement. This part was a perfect fit, came with a Honda Label. Turned out that the arm on the old valve was moving, but the plastic mounting point had rounded off. No way to tell this without removing it. New valve works great.

2007 Honda Accord 2.4L. Good direct replacement. The fact that it comes already attached to the bracket makes installation easier. No more coolant leaking!

This part had failed and while it appeared to be moving correctly, the valve was broken internally and stuck closed. It's a common failure on older 7th gen accords

I helped a friend swap this out in their car. Coolant kept "disappearing" and they had no idea why. Fairly easy operation with lots of room to work. You'll have to lean on the engine, so make sure it is cold. Hose clamps are useful too, as well as a drain pan for catching the inevitable leaks.

Looks just like the one it was replacing , so time will tell , doing great so far !
