Outstanding Performance On My Dell XPS 8900
Last summer I purchased a fairly loaded up Dell XPS 8900. It has a 6th generation I7 processor, 32 gb of RAM,a 512 SSD along with a 2tb HD. It also came with a 2gb Graphics Card. I was very happy with this system until I tried to play some newer graphic intense games on this thing. It was useless. 18fpm max, at lowest settings. Not worth even trying. I am not much of a gamer, but I could not live with this. Limited to Dell's unimpressive 460 watt power supply, and not wanting to have to buy a stronger power supply unit as well, I came across this card.I was not sure this would fit in my Dell, as this PNY card is about 3x longer than the piece of crap GPU Dell provided. After being reassured by Dell this GPU will work in my system, I took the plunge. My computer is now a monster by comparison.I run Windows 10, and using the PC Benchmark App my results are the following:Before Installing This Card: GPU Test Speed Ops- 4396.61After Installing This Card: GPU Test Speed Ops- 60,518.40What a difference. Needless to say I can now get well over 60fpm on the newer games out there in high detail. It's all I need.Installation was not as easy as I hoped in my Dell XPS. Of course your installation for your particular computer might be a breeze. Here I had to move wires out of the way in a tight space and once the card was properly seated the inputs did not line up, and this has no back plate. I had to twist down the metal outside back plate bracket of the computer before I could plug in my HDMI cable. I did not see any other options, but I am not a computer expert. Once installed, and latest drivers were downloaded, the improvement was beyond what I expected. Well worth the investment.I saw a lot of reviews stating that no installation disc, instructions, or any wires come with this thing. Don't be fooled, they are included, but you have to lift the cardboard at the bottom of the box it comes in. Everything is there. But, because this stuff is so light, and kind of hidden, I can see why some people just threw the box away assuming nothing else is in there. Some may say the plastic casing of this GPU has a cheap feel to it. But that kept the cost down, while still delivering outstanding performance. The most amazing thing about this GPU is how little power it draws compared to performance. Unless you are a hard core gamer, this will more than suffice. Now I have a computer I am 100% satisfied with. Thank you PNY for offering this excellent card for a reasonable price.

Great card bios is exceptional cooling good actually a good overclocker so good luck with the silicon lotto
Took a gamble PNY had been around for years but I prefer to stick to zotac, evga, or galax (formerly known as galaxy). However this card is the only larger (dual or tri fan) cooled 1060 6 gb that sells for MSRP so I took a gamble to get the good value as all the Pascal cards ( gtx 1000 series) clock right about the same unless there was binning involved. I got pretty lucky and got a chip that does 2140 mhz stable core overclock and +500 memory overclocks. However your results may vary as this is a game of silicon lotto. The card comes in decent packaging and comes with a few accesories none of which are anything special just normal stuff they toss in with a graphics card like driver discs and stuff. The cooler is surprisingly fantastic! (no pun intended) temps are very very good at load and even overclocked the card stays cool and very quiet for what it is. The cooler is straight overkill which is nice cause the card stays pretty darn quiet and as far as the bios goes the power limit is insane on their bios the card is by no means cooling or power limited on overclocks. The cooling is good enough too that the card will stay at full boost clocks. Running Unigine valley to stress the gpu managed to run the benchmark at full boost and stayed over 2120 mhz on the core for me so very much stayed at its boost clock and I kept a eye on temp and power limits with msi afterburner and neither one was a limitation infact there was a good 8% left over on the power limit which really suprised me the bios is really good on this card! Overall the cards really good the only downside is the fan bracket is the cheaper ABS plastic (the stuff on cheap pc fans) so it feels a tad cheap to the touch but looks fine and functions 100% fine...if this card was 270+ like most of the 1060s then i would consider this a definite con however they had to cut costs somwhere and im glad they decided to cut it on not having a backplate and using a cheaper but more then usable plastic fan bracket rather then sacrificing the VRM quality or the cooling. So considering the 250 buck price this is really not a con.Pros- cooling is great! And the bios is awsome allowing more then enough power limit, one of the few cards at msrp!!!Eh ---not con or pro-- fan bracket for the cooler is a touch on the cheaper abs plastic side and could be nicer but they had to cut cost somewhere to reach msrp so im haopy they did it they way they didCons- none
