This handy little temp gun is awesome. I used it for my wood furnace and also bath water. Just point and pull the trigger. Super simple and instant temp read. You won't be disappointed

I purchased this unit when the price dropped and was featured on YouTube Den of Tools. I did not need it but I could not resist the low price. I have a significantly more expensive unit so thought it would be fun to test them side by side. Impressively, this guy provided very similar result, only a few tenths of a degree at higher temperatures. This is a good home unit for a reasonable price which I ended up giving to my son-in-law. Most folks do not realise how handy these are until they have one so this is a great gift for a hard to buy for dude.

This is great when you want to test the heat without have to use your body part to test the temperature. Just point at the water and find out current temperature has saved me from getting burned.

I love this thing. I bought it both to help with cooking as well as help with TV repair diagnosis. I haven't done much cooking yet, but a TV's mainboard was cooking, and this helped me diagnose the seemingly sporadic problem! Works great to test temperatures on electronic components. Reads a specific point with good accuracy. Get one!

It works but I question the heat accuracy.. still more of a fan of regular thermometers.

I use this to check the temperature of a pan, but I've also run around the house taking random measurements and asking my bored girlfriend if she knew the floor was 22 degrees (she didn't).You can turn the laser off as it's not needed for the actual measurement (it's just to aim), and you do have to be careful as it'll fry your eyes! Safety notice; once the device turns off it defaults back to being on. The laser makes a great cat toy! :-)It seems accurate, the display is bright and informative, and there are quite a few options in the menu that are easy to set.
